4.30 Monday afternoon, Asian sounding guy, very persistent, I told him I was to busy with kids, he was pushy wanting to know when convenient, this was when I got suspicious and Hung up.  Have had a couple of silent calls last week, didn't take much notice, but will be wary in future.  If you are on the phone and already on the computer and they keep you talking on the phone can they access your computer??

If you read my earlier post you can read all about this scam.  They can only get remote access to your computer if you allow them to by following their instructions.  Remember neither Microasoft, nor its partners will ever cold call you.  It would be a breach of their privacy ules.

Just got in from work, and the company was on the phone. They said we had a virus on our computer, that our Anti virus would not stop!! They said they were talking to a microsoft engineer, and that they would talk me through it. I started to ask a few questions and the answers were very vague, so I told him I wasn't going to confirm his access.

Just received a call from this number.  It was an Asian guy who  knew my name and postcode.  Said he was from a company called PC Optimisation who he said are partners of Microsoft. He asked me to switch on my computer and follow a few simple instructions and he would get rid of some malicious infections from my PC.  I asked him how he intended to do that i.e. was he going to remote in and he wouldn't answer.  I asked him the name of these infections and he wouldn't answer that either but kept trying to blind me with PC jargon. I told him I could sort out my own infections thank you and hung up.
I googled the number and this page came up so looks like it is a scam.

Two calls from this number today, 16th Dec., one yesterday and one on 14th.   Same sounding Asian, possibly Filipino, unpleasant when you say you are not interested in his services.  I have not yet let him tell me what he wants to 'sell' to me - I just did not like his approach/style.  On the three occasions when I have answered the call, there is a brief pause at the start, as though call being re-routed, then he starts to talk.  Have not caught the name of the company he claims to represent.  This is most definitely a very unpleasant scam.

Foreign young lady.  Told me my PC had a virus.  Stupid cow.  She got irate and hung up on me when I started asking advising her that she was working for a SCAMMER.  I quite enjoyed the call actually.  I enjoy winding these people up.  Wish I had given the false debit card number now.  That trick is a real thrill.  They get so pasionate when they think they have a sale.  We should all do it.  Really p1sses them off when they realise THEY have been duped.  Oh, and the telephone number presented through CLI does not exist.

Just had a call from this number an Asian lady said that I had malicious software on my machine.  The irony is I work on technical support line that she had called, she hung up after I explained this to her.

Just had a call from this bunch of goons telling me that while I was sleeping several viruses had infected my computer, when I told him that would be a neat trick since I run AVG 9.0 full edition, he put the phone down, obviously looking to gain access to my system. My advice is to just hang up the minute you hear this nonsense.

Just received a call from this number.  It was an Asian guy who  knew my name and postcode.  Said he was from a company called PC Optimisation who he said are partners of Microsoft. Said his name was Aled Jones. Alarm bells rang.  He asked me to switch on my computer and follow a few simple instructions and he would get rid of some malicious infections from my PC. Tried to explain only my son works on my computer as I am "computer illiterate", got stroppy when I wouldn't turn my computer on and my son wasn't home, then hung up on me.

Perhaps you should have asked "Aled" to sing the instructions!  My earlier post explains this scam. Never ever give anyone remote access to your computer.  Microsoft, nor its partners, will ever cold call you.  It would be a breach of their privacy rules.
