As you say just on the right side of legal. Way on the wrong side of what's  morally right. Lets not of-course forget Forensic Review their Ponzi scheme. The fact that you get no valuable service for the membership fee. Have you read the conditions of their Will writing service? No? You should the hidden charges are eye watering. The fact that his father did the same scams. I could go on. They are SCUM

Hear, Hear. I totally agree with moral and ethical matters. The legal side is v.interesting and flawed with loop holes around their setup of AIMS and the subcompanies. However, they are due to be audited by the MOJ within 2013, especially with regard to their PPI Reclaims activities and compliace & non compliance. Henece, the number of compliants that were made by proactive people posting and gleening information from the many legit people who utilise this posting site in a construcive way.

AIMS are SUM BAGS, without a doubt there.

    ill b back
I ve just had a phone call from this company, AIMS Review spoke to women named Julie Shelton

and what they said did sound to good to be true. I wouldn't hand them money strait away and said I would think about it then i've done my research on the Internet finding this page i have rang them back up and polite asked them to remove my details from their data base which they have assured me they would.

if anyone needs the telephone number to reply its 01254 454012.

hope this helps people, as companies like this want to be stopped. but unfortunately if people are handing them money they are going to keep going.

    Ex Aims Employee
Tom you are talking out of your [***] my son.

I used to work for aims & this is how the quotes for PPI are worked out.

Each loan quote = £2400 (even if the loan was less than that) so basically if you had a loan for £2000 they would quote that you could get back £2400 in mis-sold PPI which is impossible but it sounds great for the customer.

Each credit card loan = £1200 (even if the c/c bill was less than that) so basically if you had a c/c bill for £600 they would quote that you could get back £1200 in mis-sold PPI which is impossible but it sounds great for the customer.

Basically the more loans & cards you have got the more they can quote you. Now before the company got heavy about compliance they would virtually guarantee you (98%) that you would get your money back until the compliance off made you say you "could" get back your money. Before compliance they were running rampant.

I also know from working in the telemarketing side of it that when the floor manager was coming around to collect the leads for the sales force they would virtually accept any lead off you including people that were bankrupt, in an IVA, dementia sufferers, OLD vulnerable people, people that had already been told by another company that they could not get their money back for them. the list is endless! As long as they could get your £299 pounds they couldn't give a [***] about your PPI claim.

The trick they are using that most people don't really grasp at first is that if they can't get your money back they will refund you the £299. What most people don't seem to realise is that the membership period lasts for 12 months & it's down to you to phone around the departments to save up to £299 in that 12 months. By the way good luck trying to get through to them in that period :) At the time when you have just been told we can get you back £12,000-15,000 you are so happy that you don't realise what you are signing up for. In reality these guys could do the check for you for free & still make a bucketload of money but they want to rip that £299 out of you as well.

Finally & this is the best bit if you are phoned up by the sales team & you refuse the £299 you are then passed onto another department which rings you 3-4 months later saying that they are willing to look into your PPI claims for free. Good eh?

I've never worked in sales before this job but I was absolutely blown away by what was going on there. It's a license to print money - YOUR MONEY!

I paid £250 to AIMS in November 2012 and had no problem with them. I received a letter from my Bank and owing to the investigation on my behalf, I will receive £1.570 from my Bank which will be transferred direct into my Bank account.
Come the 22November 2013 I will receive my £250 Membership fee returned to me.
I do not know why you lot are down grading an 100% true company.

And you have searched out this site because?  When someone has a good experience with a company they do not usually decide some time later to search out a site which people use to find out about scams and unknown numbers.  The people who do search out a site like this to post positive reviews (on Easter Sunday) are the people who are connected with the company and want to give it a positive spin.

And why do you think you will get your £250 membership fee back? You say they saved you over £1500 for which you were ofcourse charged 25% plus VAT. The "membership fee" is therefore not refundable!  Just another money making scam

I agree, what the devil are you doing posting on this site over a bank holiday, especially when you are minted & have not experienced the basic scamming from AIMS. If I was in your position; a) I would not have accessed this posting about AIMS in the first place; b) You are an AIMS employee, simple as.

Under Distance Selling Regulations, you have 7 days to cancel.  Phone them and tell them you have changed your mind and want your money back.  If you have any trouble contact Trading Standards and the Ministry of Justice.
