i had this number call today with piano music and american auto voice telling me to hold.  i wonder if
this number is connected to other numbers that i have been recieving 0844 559xxxx  and
0843 594xxxx

fed up with this call as iam disabled it is hard work for me to get the call and then when i do it the rubbish

Redress are clearly using a very old database as I have just had a call from them asking for the previous holder of my number, which they gave up at least four years ago. I asked who was calling and they rang off. I called 0844 8246676 and they promised to take me off their database.

Just had a call from this number (slight Asian accent).  Apparantly they are calling about my house insurance as its due.  Told them its not due and to stop calling.  More than likely another scam!!!

son picked phone up and said automated voice said our call was important to them so tp please hold the line and the next available agent would speak to me, i was busy took phone off him put it on shelf 23 minutes later still plinky muzak and intermittent message playing was bored by then so hung up. 1471 said it was this number. sounded overseas with saying 'agent'

had this call yet once more iam now mad with it

I had a call from them at 13.30 today, I have a digital phone, which I'm sure you will all have, I have caller identification on it, so when I get a call I can see who's calling me and if there is no identification, it gets no answer except the answer phone, it works like a charm, after a few days they get fed up and stop for a few weeks and then start again, this doesn't bother me,  the phone does the hard work, try it, it's very simple and easy. I'm getting two calls a day from 01619287700 at the moment, this has been going on for about two weeks, one call about 15.35 and the other around 19.00, same thing, I don't answer, I've got plenty of time and patience, it's their money and they'll get fed up first, please try it, it works

answered phone played music to me for 15 mins till put down reciever was being told my call was important to them even though they rang me . when 1471 it was told number not reconised
so dont know who or what it was about

and ask if I need home insurance 01274 663293
They will ask you personal details like date of birth address, and bank details for direct debit and even a credit card detail.

I did not answer there questions as they hope but did go along with their
instructions... until they said my card details was invalid.... big smiles.. for me... please please all you folk be careful of any and I mean any even companies that claim to do a quick research that will take 5 mins.
Final word just be very careful whom you give details over the phone to
full stop.

I got called today about home insurance - yes, mine is nearly due - but told them I could not switch as I would not meet anyone else's underwriting conditions. After checking my postcode (which I never gave them, they already had it) the woman agreed, due to the flood risk. Short, but shouldn't have happened in the first place.

I have a much better way. I went out and bought a referee's whistle and when they call, I BLOW FULL TIME. works a treat.

Phened again several times today but upon opening up and installing TRUE CALL they did not get through - okay a bit expensive but gets rid of these annoying B@@@STARDS distubing my peace.

Just listen for a few seconds .You can tell it is a call centre and put down again.why do they always call as you have sat down for tea.I think the answerphone is a good idea and we have got one, just never think to use it when we are in.Must be redress as same number.

had a call from this number and  was then put on hold to wait to speak to one of their, '' agents''. What a bloody cheek!
I don't know who this was but they can go to hell.
I am absolutely sick of these cold callers. i'm ex.directory .

I just have my phones,both land and mobile set for a short ring and then voicemail cuts in unless I recognise the #.Bit of a pain returning missed calls sometimes but at least I can return only those I know and not some sales/insurance/debt reduction cowboy's.

This number rang, when I answered the phone I got music and a thank you for waiting message, put phone down but it did not cut off caller.  Line stayed open for 15 minutes and could do nothing about it.  Unplugged lines etc.

Do not do 1471 I did and it click into a queue with an operator saying ' you are in a queue and will be answered shortly' all from 1471 had to turn off the phone from the wall. I hope this doesn't cost a fortune!

Had a call from 01274 663293 today 7 March 2012, a female voice could be heard on answering, they hung up after 5 seconds.
