'My home insurance is coming up for renewal' yes (I'm on TPS) which company are you from? 'Royal Sun Alliance, goodbye'. Funny woman, Emma. They still broke the law phoning from the UK to a TPS number even if they may have saved me money, but why then end the call once I asked who they were? And from the comments above I don't think they were either.

Called from this number - silence to start with then recorded message saying your call is important and an agent will be with you asap etc - hung on for a minute, just to give some verbal abuse really, but nobody answered. We are with TPS - what good is that?

Without introducing himself, a man  started asking me about my home and contents insurance. I asked him why he was calling me and who was was calling from, and he said Royal and Sun Alliance, to talk to me about home and contents insurance. I asked him if he was registered with the TPS, and he said yes, and apologised profusely. He said my number hadn't come up on his system.

I rang the number and got the invalid number tone.

PS Forgot to mention his reason for calling me. To save me money! :)

I had a missed call from this number today. By the time I got to the phone the number had rang off. We too are registered with the TPS. On one occasion my husband reported yet another nuisance call number. These people use the 'get out' that they are not selling you anything, they are offering you a 'service!!!!' hence not classed as nuisance call by TPS!!!!!!.

Coverplus is an insurance company, one of the branches of money made simple - which was originially redress claims. Dodgy company, no morals,ended up a bbc documentary for scamming people.

Coverplus do home insurance underwritten by the royal sun alliance. Due to the company history, I wouldn't trust them.

As for phone calls, they employ people over 2 months and before their probation period is up - ie, full time contract time, they fire them and readily replace with yet more workers. It's a rotating system , the employees aren't interviewed or selected carefully.

Neither the workers or the owners give a toss about who they're calling. They'll ring back to harass rude customers just for laugh or as revenge.

They just want you to agree for a quote and pass you on so they can make up their numbers, little knowing them be given the boot anyway.

Horrible people, horrible ethics, all masquerading as a legit business. Car park is filled with the owners ferraris, Porsches, etc.


Find the address, find the numbers and give them hell!

Coverplus is a great company, they saved me 250 pound on my premium!!

You must be the Customer Service Manager.  Suck politeness, such customer awareness.  Given your example, I wonder what the rest of the staff are like.  Any company even remotely connected to Redress Claims should be avoided like the plague, even if it means not meeting charming staff like you.

Ermmm.. The saddest thing is that you class arguing with us over the internet "a good night", get yourself on match.com you freak. You lot need to chill the [***] out. I must have got it wrong.  It's the Call Centre Manager.  That accounts for the types who call - they are learning by imitation. Have you noticed how these people resort to abuse when no-one believes them?  Also how they assume that anyone who takes time to expose their shady companies is a sponger or a scrounger?
