People have been saying for years that Jake`s won`t be in business for much longer but he is still here. People like him always will be. One company closes another one opens. I don`t know why you lot waste your time with this.

We are not wasting our time we are exposing him for what's happening. Not filing accounts for two years yet winning awards is an offence. Don't defend him.

The online magazine has won awards but doesn't generate any revenue its FREE so no accounts to file

But the guy has been doing what he does for years and people try to expose him but he still carry`s on trading so you are wasting your time. Don`t you think Company House would be aware he hasn`t filled his accounts? Also if it`s a free publication he doesn`t have to file accounts.

It may be free to advertise but this doesn't mean you don't have to file accounts. The company has assetts and trades and has costs so there by law it has to file accounts. So get your facts together and comply with business law. Companies house are now alerted you've not filed accounts since 2012 (you knew you had to file them then didn't you!) so why do you think the law has changed?

I've just checked. It's a criminal offence not to file accounts for a trading company..... Free listings or no free listings. And what about the paid ads on the site???? What about accounting for them??!!

Jules do you not think that Company House would already be aware of this? You may also want to get your facts together. If Steve doesn`t invoice his clients in the name of Motortrades Insight then he has no accounts to file. You need to remember Steve is a very clever man and knows the system. When I worked at Resourcer Group he had the tax officers rip the office apart but yet the guy is still trading. He actually sat down with me on a few ocassions and showed me exactly how he does it and gets away with it so you really are wasting your time mate. I`m not defending him because what he does is wrong but like I say he knows the system and knows how to get away with things. You need to remember he has been doing this for years and hasn`t been stopped. I run my own business and there are so many ways to get away with things and company`s house will be well aware of what Steve does but they can`t stop him. If they could don`t you think they would have done it by now!!!

But that's where you are wrong.... Motortrades insight has assetts and generated sales and ad monies from ads on its site ... If it didn't have to file accounts why did it in 2012???? It did it because it had to and now Steve don't care and can't be bothered. Serious how can an award winning business not have accounts to file!!!!!!!!!!

I was an unhappy customer of Motortrades way back when and found this forum and have continued to look from time to time. I do think it's funny that apart from this comment here from me, there are no actual ex customers posting anything even remotely recently, just a load of embittered essex wide boys. Youy are all the exact same people who ripped off people like me and yet you have the cheek to come on here and moan because what? you cant handle the fact that a nasty man called you all a few nasty names back in the day??? GET A LIFE you sad little lot! who really cares if you lot have hurt feelings when it was you that took actual money off of people like me! Don't suddenly grow a concience after the fact because you feel you were called a few names and shouted at - you all deeserve a lot worse as far as i'm concerned. Just move on, because the only people that care are your friends (if you have any) and other ex members of staff, certainly not ex customers like me. You are all pathetic and need to look at yourselves.

Scrooge you were not ripped off. You ordered advertising and Motortrades gave it to you and you paid the agreed bill.

Jules maybe if you run your own business you would understand how it works. Just becuase there are live ads on the site it doesn`t mean them clients were invoiced under the name "Motortrades Insight"
This is why Steve is doing what he does and why you are on here moaning about it. It`s called "Ring fencing" my friend and you may want to do a bit of research in to how this actually works before you come on here acting like a lawyer. He is a very clever man, has been doing the same thing for years and will carry on doing it. Don`t you think if he was going to be taken down then it would have happened now? All the sales people knew the whole thing was a con but you all carried on doing it and getting paid so you look a bit silly coming on here moaning about the bloke that paid your wages to con people. Interesting but incorrect I'm afraid. I have an invoice dated January 2014 issued by Motortrades Insight Ltd. the same company you claim doesn't have to submit annual accounts! Whilst you are entitled to your opinions they're incorrect...... I'm watching for the when Mr Jakes files the accounts. And yes company's house are aware they're not field and when they open their post tomorrow they'll have a copy of the invoice that I've mentioned above.

Steve Jakes had a serious cocaine problem that made him act aggressively towards his staff and flip out in front of everyone......., that's why his biz went bust coz everyone had enough of him lol and from what I'm hearing his latest business is on problems and his running low on £!

Wonder what he will start next???? An Internet directory of rehab centres????

I've read the emails jakes used to send out to his staff at half 3 in the morning OMG! How could people work for somebody like that????
