who uses this number is it an out going only number ?

This number is for Universal Energy, in Forfar.  I've never heard of them but they keep calling my mobile.

They keep calling me and say they are from universal, no other info they advertise jobs on gumtree.

Have received a death threat from a person using this number, today at 02.37hrs. Now in the hands of the Police.

I have just been insulted by one of the rudest "customer services" people I have ever encountered.  I have changed energy providers and do not appreciate being harrassed by people like this trying to bully me into changing back to my original provider.

I changed energy provider about 18 months ago. Since then, Southern Electric (my old energy provider) has called me about 3 or 4 times on this number (it's usually a Scottish man who calls me). I tell him that I'm not interested in changing back to Southern Electric but he acts offended and shocked and says things like "what?! but don't you realise what you're missing out on?! a lot has changed in 18 months!". I tell him I'm not interested and that I don't have time to talk (i.e. I am polite but firm). He gets offended and, to be honest, quite rude. So I eventually have to just hang up on him. It's basically a form of harrassment and I think it is dreadful that they're allowed to do it.

it is southern electric just called there head office and enquired about this number, its an office they use for sales in scotland..

i doubt you would have got a death threat mate, unless you never paid your bill hahahaha

got call today at 6.08pm that number,i didnt speak,they waited half a min then they disconnected without saying a word heh

tried ringing it back , no tone

I got a phone call from this number today, was in school so couldnt answer it!!

They rang me today, laughed when I answered then hung up. Wont be answering again

They rang me today. I didn't pick up. I NEVER give my mobile out. They must have got it without my permission from Southern Electric. I am really very angry about this. What can we do about this???

They have called me persistently (most week days) for about 1 month. The calls have usually been when I am at work or busy and so I have not been able to answer.

I finally answered yesterday because I was ill and off work and not really thinking straight(this is the last thing you need when you are ill). I got a pushy sales person from Southern Electric. She was very polite but not prepared to take "no" for an answer. I found her to be quite patronising. She spoke to me as if I were a four year old. I am a 30 year old Legal Professional. After about 2 minutes she wanted my bank details. I said I never give bank details over the phone. She asked whether it was because I thought they would set up a direct debit without my knowledge, I said "No it's becasue I don't know if you are who you say you are and you might clear out my account"! How stupid do they think we are?

I called Southern Electric customer services because she has tried to call me again today. They said they could not verify the number but suggested I get her name and then call them back and they can find out. The person at SE I was very apologetic.

I realise these people are "just doing their job" but if this is Southern Electric then shame on you for employing these pushy companies who probably pay bonuses to underpaid staff to basically harass people!

Its a call centre in forfar. They get commission only pay so thats why there so pushy for the hard sell. This shouldnt be aloud to happend thouugh we should all be on minamu wage if there were then it would be a helpfull servis!

Yep just called me and hung up. I tried calling back but can't, glad I read this forum as when they call again I will be ready for them!!!! ;-)

Got a call from this number today I was very suspicious, at first I thought it was a dubious debt collection agency fishing for numbers going through the phone book. The female at the other end of the line then claimed to be from Scottish Hydro  as I had a very bad experience of them many years back when I lived on Cumbrae I had used them as a supplier I gave the the young lady a tirrade on the short commings of the company  - very satisfying  !!!!!!
However after which she still tried to get me  to change my supplier !
