- David Ramsden replies to Makingmoney00Well Making Money00 how much have they paid you for posting your comment? Do you not feel outnumbered by all these miserable people who have been duped by a bunch of morons calling themselves 5G? They are incredibly stupid to think that imitating a chicken is a good asset for a sales person to have!! You should be honest and remove your post from this site because we are not miserable people but genuine job seekers who are being duped.
- David Ramsden replies to David RamsdenI ran out of space on my original post so I would just like to add a couple of important points.
1/ When I asked Graham Holland who was doing the company presentation for the USP's of the company he failed to give me any. I have been in Sales for nearly 40 years and I have been successful for most of the time but with companies who actually HAD USP;s. You need something to offer a potential client, you need leverage to make a GOOD sale that stays in bed. How can Graham Holland say and I quote, 'We are pretty quick in dealing with problems' and state that as a USP? Dear Graham... this not a USP but your DUTY as a company!!! He also said, 'We care about our clients...' Oh my God...
2/ For all the people who are defending this company you should be ashamed of yourselves!!! How can you defend a 36 month cancellation clause? How long before Ofcom shut them down for using rolling contracts?
The sooner these morons are stopped the better for society as a whole.
People go to interviews to see if they like the company and if the company likes them. They do not go to an open door procedure to be treated like a mug. - Luke replies to ex employerI had an interview at this 5g establishment,
Walked out due to the ridiculousness of the whole situation.
Keep laughing,
I work at one of the most up and coming software companies in silicon valley. Not the dodgiest one in High Wycombe.
Care to comment on the trading standards you must have violated? - Luke replies to ex employerAre you the same gentleman that earned 45k by selling a no contract period agreement?? sounds excellent!!!! but 36 months notice required to leave 5g service.
Your a disgrace and borderline criminal.
May I have the name of your business? so that I may never ever have anything to do with you. - EX EMPLOYEE replies to Beware!| 1 replyLeft within a month as they were making me run around. Clocked up 2.5k miles in a month. They sell systems even if old system works fine and engineers are 2nd salesman when they look at faults. Never work for them. MD has chateau in France where he gives to customer for a weekend break for free who are angry and want to leave them.
- David Ramsden replies to EX EMPLOYEEAs a follow up to my previous posts, I discovered a guy called Simon Wade who calls himself HR Manager for 5G so I sent him several e mails complaining and asking for my expenses to be reimbursed but he replied to just one telling me how wonderful 5G Communications were and how they were bemused that I did not take the job I was offered! Ah well... If you would like to complain about 5G and their idiotic interview techniques then his email address is swade@5gcomms.com and his phone number is 01494 835830. Go on inundate this moron with loads of emails!
Since that dreadful day in September I have found other websites that contain tales of woe and heartbreak from unhappy 5G customers who cannot break their contracts. I have sent official complaints to Watchdog about 5G. I hope someone stops them before many more people are duped. - keith hodgesI've been using 5G for many years for my businsss and home broadband... don't know about the sales stuff above but I get terrific service on any problems - I'm a happy customer...

- fendi replies to ex employerI am sorry, but I dont believe this ex-employer is for real. I have read all the other comments about 5G and the people who work for them, its all a load of rubbish and unprofessional. My boyfriend got a call from them yesterday and when he told me about this suspicous call and was told to come for an interview this Friday with no information on the job spec, salarie etc. I was suspicious, so I checked the company out (their website is believable), but when I delved further, I found this site. I have told my boyfriend not to attend the interview, as its all a scam. He will not be attending.
- Danny Williams| 5 repliesThe interview process has done exactly what it was mean't to do and deselected the people who are not suitable. enjoy moaning.
- gavin smart replies to Danny Williams| 4 repliesMr Williams, I have previously worked for companies as unprofessional as yours and can tell you there is nothing worse than feeling like you are being treated like schoolchildren. I can only imagine how unhappy your staff must be and the kind of pressure you put them under.
During the phone call I received Melanie made several obvious mistakes that led me to do my research and find this forum: Refused to tell me the salary, tried to tell me that there were positions other than sales. Acted overly friendly as tho she was my best friend, refused to directly answer my question when I asked if the job involved cold calling or telesales and worst of all, told me I'd be there a long time as if that's supposed to make me feel hopeful!
A mature person can judge whether a person is right for their company in the first 5 minutes, if it takes you all day then you are not fit to employ anyone.
As previous posts have said I tried to get her to give me some idea of your usp's and she just avoided the question. How can you expect people to sell a product they don't believe in?
I am an honest person just looking to earn an honest wage and your company appears to profit from ripping people off, something which I detest with every atom of my brain and as such I could not in all honesty generate a single sale for you. needless to say I will not be attending the interview on friday and I would appreciate it if you can apologise to Melanie for me when I don't answer the call tomorrow.
If there had been at least one genuine post on here from someone who'd actually enjoyed working for your company then I may have still considered it but appears your company is incapable of learning from it's mistakes and is still treating customers and potential employees with utter disrespect even after all these years.
Thank you to all the people who've taken the time to post on here and saved me the stress and potential ruin that answering that phone call may have led to. I'd just like to confirm for anyone who finds this page that as of 24th july 2014 it appears that their telephone interview process is exactly as described previously so it is pretty safe to assume that they haven't changed anything else about the company either. - Danny Williams replies to gavin smart| 3 repliesMy name is Danny Williams , I no longer work at 5g. I left after 14 years to pursue other interests. However I do not regret a single moment of my employ . The reason 5g are a successful company is because of the people who work there. The people who work at 5g are paid very well, the social aspect of the company is amazing and the people who work there genuinely care for each other . The selection process to work there is exacting and not many reach the grade. whether you agree with the selection process is irrelevant really. The reason the process is so different is that 5g are looking for the people with genuine talent that our education system and employers in general have missed , regularly they find diamonds in the rough and offer them opportunities that nobody else has or would. In conclusion I would like to confirm I no longer work with 5g and relations between us are far from good. However I would stand by 5g's reputation and integrity and advise anybody to attend the interview and see where it takes you. Yes it's different , but every week I receive calls from ex employees either asking for help, telling us about their triumphs since they moved on or just saying hello. You might ask why am I writing this post, the answer is simple . I believe in opportunity and the hidden depths of normal people and if I can make one more person go to the interview then I haven't wasted the last ten minutes. p.s. I'm still fat , I'm still full of myself however I think that's preferable to being bitter , negative and suspicious. Good luck to everybody looking for a job
- David Ramsden replies to Danny Williams| 1 replyIs this the same Danny Williams who has been referred to as a 'bully' and 'needs to be got rid off'? I wonder what your 'other interests are? Stop painting rosy pictures of this bunch of morons and start telling the truth. I have been in Direct sales for over 40 years and I have never ripped anyone off nor stooped to the depths your former company stoops to. With the best will in the world you are as bad as the people who used to employ you. I was offered a job with 5g after completing the 'process' so I fitted in with their criteria but they could not tell me what the job was. As far as I am concerned this is b**lsh*t. I have been an area manager, a training manager and a national sales manager in my lifetime and I never tried to lead people down the garden path like 5g do. How you can post rubbish here and defend these idiots.. perhaps all of this crap is your idea! Get real, get down off your high horse and tell the truth.
For the record I have been happily working as a sales manager for nearly a year and they pay me well and appreciate my chicken impressions!! - JoeJust wanted to say thanks to everyone for these messages! Clearly still the same interview process, exactly the same phone call word for word, no job description etc. I was meant to go tomorrow but I've emailed them with a very honest reason why I'm not going. Basically that I don't want to get involved with a scam company.
Thanks everyone!- Caller: 5G
- Joanne Murray replies to David RamsdenI have just stumbled across 5g and thank god I looked it up. I was employed by universal energy as a recruiter then as my romance with Danny Williams blossomed I was traveling recruiter. we were really happy but Michael Holland long hours most directors and top staff cheating on their partners I kid you one week out for dinner with the wives next week the girlfriends. And the social aspect more cocaine flying about than snow at Christmas. Danny and I don't talk anymore that's personal but he is not the scapegoat he was very passionate about his work gave people chances who really didn't deserve them. I was and still am proud of him no I'm not fat quite the opposite beauty is only skin deep if you want anyone to blow your top at Michael Holland springs to mind.
- Joanne Murray replies to Danny WilliamsCan you get my name taken off the database please. Couldn't believe it when I was called throwing your name around didn't help either hope you are well take care x
