I keep getting calls from this number.  It's driving me crazy!!  If you're not in, they leave what I call "non" messages, ie the phone has logged a message but there's no message there!!  How can I stop this?  Oh - and they keep calling on certain days nearly every 30-40 minutes!!

I missed the call-sounds like cold calling and idiot staff getting their facts wrong from many on here, but the company sounds like nothing but another greed machine, as I tried google and the phone number doesnt seem linked to any official website for anything, so theres still a chance its a scam. Just dont answer

TPS is a complete waste of time.  Yet another silent call from this gang of criminals.  Remind me, why do we pay taxes?

They called me & I told them to f off. They called back twice & I was less than polite to them. I am registered with TPS & Iwill be passing their details on. I might even contact the police as this amounts to harassment.

I stay in dunoon & had missed calls from this company so decided to phone them back I am very pleased with the service I recieved and everyone was really helpful and I got my loft fully insulated for free on the grant scheme they offer, the company that phone from the number is not eis audit scotland it is actually ESI Scotland so i think most of you on this have got it completly wrong , i checked their credentials and they are a very respectable and reputable company who work all over scotland. I think its a shame that they are being tarred with the same brush as many of these other bogus companys and maybe before anyone writes a comment on this they should check they have the right person first ... ESI SCOTLAN !!!  not EIS AUDIT OR HOME & HEATING like most of the comments indicate

I now give the same response to all these companies.  My computer is constantly at the ready with the chorus, at full volume, by a singer called Vitas singing opera 2.  If companies will not take heed of people asking them not to call then perhaps an assault on their ears will do the trick.

Had a call from EIS Scotland purporting to represent the Government Grant Scheme. I asked where the company Head Office was and after much probing she gave the address of their call centre (G138TG). This is Home and Heating from Broxburn at it again. It is a scam to get your money; their prices are inflated and their workmen are cowboys who have a poor reputation and the company will not follow up any claims. DO NOT TOUCH THEM WITH A BARGE POLE

Received a call from this number tonight at about 6.20pm.  Said they were calling on behalf of the Scottish Government and that I was entitled to 100% free loft insulation (without even ascertaining my circumstances).  Wanted to come round tomorrow and look at my loft.  Very surprised when I said I wasn't interested.  She actually said "You don't often get something for nothing" to which I replied "you're right" and hung up. If this really is a genuine entitlement to every homeowner in Scotland would we not have been contacted by post first?

Got 2 calls from this number, hung up without leaving any message

Had a call today. First name was Lorna. Asked to be put to supervisor and was put through to Dave who quoted legislation inaccurately. He put me through to a Mr Couch who wanted to sell a recliner chair. Somewhat puerile and obviously demonstrates that it is an amateur company.
Gets data from  the national dtabase. Yet to discover what this is as nobody could tell me other than it was against data protection to tell me the company who provided it !!!!

Got a call today from 08708610192 which calls itself Scottish Energy Audit and claims to have links with the Scottish Government.  Have had several calls from them this past year 2011/2012 and they are trying to sell insulation.

Call from this number claiming to be EIS SCOTLAND  FOR  GOVERNMENT GRANTS FOR INSULATION FOR LOFTS AND EAVES ROUND HOUSE (ALL FREE) WOULD SEND SURVEYORS OUT TO HOUSE TO INSPECT LOFT.  SAID THEY WERE IN THE AREA BUT I HAD TO LET THEM KNOW TODAY AS THEY COULD ONLY COME TOMORROW.  TOOK THERE DETAILS.  fOUND THIS ON THE INTERNET, DO NOT KNOW IF IT IS A SCAM.  WILL NOT BE GETTING THEM.  tHANKS.

Got a call from this number today EIS was the name given but only after some questioning from me.  Initially stated she (didn't give her own name)  was employed by the government to dispense grants for loft insulation.  I answered her questions by asking my own questions and she retreated slowly from the "employed" status to working for EIS who were promoting the government grants which were available to everyone.  I asked for more information saying EIS was meaningless (and I knew she wasn't from the Union) She started repeating the "script" again and I said that's meaningless has the company got some credentials like a registration number.  She gave me their phone number, surprising to an extent as these callers usually have the number withheld.  She eventually got fed up with my questions and hung up.

Seems like the only way to deal with these folk is to waste as much of their time as possible as the TPS is pretty much useless in combating them.

Got a call from this number and checked it out here. The second call explained who they were so I listened and eventually had my loft and cavity wall insulation installed totally free. I had to let someone survey my property to see if it was suitable which was the reason for the call to arrange this. So Ive got to correct a few comments left here.
Firstly, they are ESI Scotland. Secondly, they didnt say they were working for the government but working on behalf of the governments grant schemes, which they are. Its all about reducing carbon emmissions apparently. So, while geting unwanted calls might be a pain, they are no scammers

Keep pestering me for loft insulation. Told them already done. Won't take me off their list

Have received calls from this number since 1st Feb 2011.  Totally sick of them ringing me a pensioner with poor health and requesting to speak to Mrs Walker or Mr Walker.  I have traced the history of this property back over 50 years and there has never been a person named Walker living here.

Have spoken to various "supervisors" requesting that they remove my number from their list which they promise to do but usually that prompts another call within 30 minutes.  

Have reported the number to the Police and  Trading Standards.
