I am TPS registered and I have 10 missed calles from this number today! how do they do it????

Keep getting calls from 01477 535 920...as so9on as I answer, they hang up. Tried calling back, get  continuous tone as if line is disconnected ??

Keep getting calls from these people. Dont know who they are as they never leave a voice mail or message.

Rung several times on mobile.

It's probably Premium genie...call the mobile number on their website.I did this and the guy who answered the phone didn't even wait for me to complain - he immediately offered to remove my details. They kept calling my mums home ( I don't live there) and refusing to leave a message. Being an old girl she was getting stressed about it. I suspect that the mobile number is the bosses or a senior supervisor...and the number is  07881816598

Have been getting repeated calls from this number - when you call it back it simply rings with no answer.

After a bit of research today I have tracked down a contact number for them, and spoken to a chap called Simon who has immediately apologised and taken a note of my number to remove from their lists permanently - fingers crossed he delivers!

I suspect their "You've filled in a survey and we are calling as a result" response is a bid to get them round the restrictions imposed by the TPS .

Hi there people. i used to work for the mentioned company i have some info that may aid you in your problem.

first of all, the data is all from all forms of survey, be it telephone, internet or written and posted. the people calling DO NOT hand dial, they sit in front of a screen and have to speak to whichever person comes up. sometimes people pull out of surveys before they finish them, but the survey data can sometimes process whats being input straight away. this is not the said companies doing, they just purchase survey data filtered out for life cover.

as for the silent phone calls, each telemarketing company runs through a directory caller program which calls 3 numbers per staff member per call. this is not controlled by the company either. if the line is silent, then you weren't the fastest of three people called to pick up. therefore, the silent call.

in regards to being on TPS or Ex-Directory, neither of these will stop calls if you input them into a form of survey/competition, regardless of whether you have it in place before or after the calls. once the numbers out, its out.

these people are genuine people who only call due to an indication of interest on the product they provide. they are all lovely individuals including the managers and owners of the company, and they are only working with the data they are provided with. unfortunately, not every survey provides the chance to say no.  

also to add, these people are NOT cold callers. cold calling is illegal. if you take part in things knowing that you will receive calls, that's technically an invite and isn't illegal. This is exactly the same way any other telemarketing company works also. the only way to stop the calls is to let them speak to the person they require unless its impossible due to death/wrong number/child/insane working hours. and also, if you are extremely rude or just hang up before hearing why they are calling you, then you have then in place brought a callback on yourself. all companies work like this. so just be nice to them as annoying as it may seem.

Got a call from 01477536255 -  said they did a survey, said they were premium genie.  Don't know who they are or why they are calling.

This caller claims that I have taken part in an on-line survey.... which I have not.

It's amazing the amount of people on here complaining about getting calls from a strange number and getting so wound up. Oh these people are so bad for calling me, they called 10 times today etc etc. listen here, after the first 3 calls did you not think to PICK UP THE PHONE. If you're not interested then have the balls to pick up the god damned phone and say you're not interested instead of coming on some website to [***] and moan to other daft [***] who dont know how to say "no".
Oh and also would like to make you aware that its illegal to cold call. a company cant just phone you out of the blue so if they are calling you its because you've agreed to it. whether or not you were aware. so my advice to you is to check when you sign a terms and conditions box etc on a website instead of blaming some poor [***] who has the job of calling you up just because you've been so stupid as not to read what you were agreeing to.

I'm sick to death of people complaining about it, if you really dislike people calling you back just DON'T do the surveys. and don't say you didn't because you did. it's just annoying getting people bitching about you when we have been told you want life insurance. Next time you see any survey on a website. don't take it otherwise you'll just pretend you don't take it and hang up. oh and here's a hint if you hang up the phone as soon as you know it's us, we'll call you back. just tell us you're not interested and take you off the call list. therefore no foul on either part.
