Received call  asking for my wife by name. I asked who was calling and was told "It's John".
"John who?" I asked.  I then pointed out that the only people who addressed her by her christian name were family, and friends, anyone else would address her as Mrs.............. He then said that he was from Premium Genie, and asked again to speak to her. I replied that she certainly did not wish to speak to him. He explained that he would be calling back again, I intimated in my finest expressive use of my native English Language, that this may not be such a good idea. Nothing heard since. Anglo Saxon is such a good method of expression.

Just stop ringing me. Our phone is ex dir for a reason. Leave us alone.

If you deny that you are, lets say 'Mrs Springer' the agent is to take no notice of you. Anything you say has not the slightest bit of relevence to them contacting your wife. And to your statement that "only family and address her by her christian name", well maybe your wife should not give her 'christian name' out so readily over the internet or whichever medium of survey she would have done. And as for your wife not expecting marketing calls from market research; well thats very naive and quite frankly a little dim.
It is also politically incorrect to use the word 'christian name'.

My sister, whose landline number is a private witheld number, received a call for me from Premium Genie with the 'quote I had asked for'! I live 20 miles away from my sister and have my own phone number, so how they got her number and my name is beyond me! I never take part in online surveys. Until today I had never heard of Premium Genie. Have answered a 01477 number more than once to a dead line - so in response to A1 - answering the call doesn't stop repeat calls when there is no one to tell to naff off on the other end!! Is there no way of blocking these numbers? And more to the point - what IS the point of ringing someone and hanging up when they do answer?? Confused.com!!!

I got a call from Premium Genie today, asking for my partner.  She asked for him by name.  He picked up a line in another room.  I asked her who was calling, she explained that she was "?(name i can't remember)? from premium-genie.com  "   I repeated "premuim-genie" back to her, she confirmed.  I stated "oh, i'm not sure he wants a genie.  I then simply shouted to my partner "do you want a genie?" ( i managed not to laugh...) He shout "NO!" down the phone, on the other extension. I had to laugh then.  But in all fairness to the girl, she just said "okay, thanks"  I don't know if they will ring back, but how about you all developing a sense of humour when these people ring, instead of insulting them?  They are other fellow human beings aswell as being "nuisance callers" - and yes it's a crap job, but its keeping their kids in clothes, or themselves off the dole queue.  Give them a break.  Buy a GENIE.....ha ha ha

Ring them on 001477 539421, witholding your number.  Someone eventually answers and then you can impress them with your knowledge of Anglo Saxon.

i've had three calls today from these numbers. on mobile i have just ignored it, on land line told them i am not in. now i know what they are, if they think i am 'fair game' to be called, they are fair game for abuse

i always just let them talk and talk,if they are calling you its costing them, you can normally keep them oin phone for 15 20 mins then just say thanks and hang up,they don,t call you back to soon

I received a call from this number and was left hanging on the line for a long time, apparently to be put through to an insurance company...I think this is a sacam to increase the call time n make them money

I recieved a call from Premium Genie on 01477539421. The guy told me he was from Premium Genie then further added anout some surveys then unjustly told me "to get a life!" and hung up on me. I rang the number (Who are based in Chester County) and left my complaint. This company are a bunch of [***]!

Premium Genie buy's data containing people who have completed an online survey, they are supposed to have asked for a quote for life insurance. These online surveys come in many forms, typically you will enter a prize draw for a television of a years worth of shopping etc.

It is not in our interests to bother people who are not interested in either reviewing their life insurance or  purchasing it for the first time.
