Are the popplewells still going?

Hello, i am into my 6th Year with S/F and apart from Carey's emptying my RBS Account with Admin and Fees,the only time my Pods were let for rent was last year for a couple of months, and this year. Last Years income from Pod Rental was taken by S/F for Ground Rent, Which was News to Me, I am still awaiting the outcome of this years rental.

Didn't know about the ground rent? Wasn't it made clear to you when you signed the contract

The report "Investing with Store First" prepared by Group First's solicitors, which was shown to many investors as part of the sales process, does not appear to mention ground rent. The copy I have certainly doesn't. Neither does it mention maintenance costs.

I don't know what the sales process was for Store FIrst, but with Park First the contract is not supplied to the investor until after they have paid the money.
The "persuader" for doing this is that you don't become eligible for the 8% until after you have paid.

That presumably makes it very difficult for someone to get independent legal advice or any sort of cooling off period.

i was told that i would not be liable for ground rent at any time , the only time ground rent would be paid would be by the person  renting the pods. it is in the contract, and before you ask why i have not told store first, ....biding  my time, as they say, biding my time.

Hope you have a good solicitor, if the ground rent was not in your contract there has been a breach. You should not have paid any ground rent charges
