L&G have rejected my complaint stating there checks were adequate I'm waiting on widows reply them going to ombudsman

I took out my pension from Arriva bus company . I was approach by Jp sterling associates who arrange my funds to be transferred into capita oak about a year and half ago I've was told that they charge a one off fee of 5% and I'll get 5% of the outstanding balance . I have to stay with them for at least 5 yrs and when I'm 55 I can take 25% lump sum. I received a cheque for about £3,000 and then herd nothing I thought as the financial year ended in April I would get a statement nothing arrived tyres calling capita oak I get a engaged tone all the time tried to call  Jp sterling number doesn't insist anymore that's when I got worried so I googled and saw the message that others left I panicked and  I feel my whole life had ended my money had gone I have reported this matter to pensions regulater also action fraud and pension advisor service on 22/4/14 as they are closed for Easter I don't know what esle to do myself and my family are  very upset. Does anyone know what esle can be done is there any chance of getting my money back in lost and feel I have ruined my family

i am in same position as everyone. does any of us live in liverpool area to see if this company (CAPITA JOKE ) still exists. but lets all stick together and see these robbing [***] behind bars.

As it seems you are very knowledgable regards computers ect would it be possible to set some form of dedicated forum for us all to collate information we collect on these thieving scum it could all end up as evidence if we get them to court

Joe...I would ask what their checks were. ..to say they checked that there was a reference number for the pension scheme, to me, simply is not enough..

I agree they have stated in writing they never checked if it was fca regulated just that it had an hmrc no which they did hmrc have stated that an hmrc no means nothing really so ombudsman is being made aware
Fca have stated a pension company must be regiukated by fca

Work has issued a warning . Too fck late but have been told that you have to inform Hmrc or you'll pay a heavy tax bill but I didn't get my money it was soposed to be invested I have nothing do I still informed them

Received a "holding letter" regarding complaint to Royal London...treating complaint seriously...we shall see.
Have asked Action Fraud to call me in the hope any info I can give relative to Imperial,JP Sterling, CapitaOak or even Storefirst (which does exist!) may be relevant rather than rambling.
Also spoke for 40 minutes to the Pensions Regulator, gave them lots of info which probably wont get us anywhere but we'll see.

I take it any "loan" and initial payments made to all were via a firm in Gibraltar called Thurlstone ?
If anyone wants to see the type of letter of compliant I have sent to Royal London, let me know. I would like to think I would know which buttons to attempt to press !

Found out today I am victim to the same scam, they were so plausible I am so shocked.

I don't understand that I cannot access my pension before 55 but it cam be transferred by the original pension provider with no checks ? How are HMRC regulating this ?

I have spoken to my Solictors . Who said that I should gather any letters from Jp sterling and capita oak . And who held my pension which is work Arriva he said we may be able to find capita it Jp as they were fraudsters but if there is signs of neglect of duty of care from Arriva I may have a case to claim my money from them . I'm gathering what ever I can letters etc my Solictors will look and inform me if I can challenge Arriva . If I can't find capita or Jp then I got fck so I'll fck the company (Arriva) who handed my money over £60,000 is so easy to forget or forgive if they made an error in my transfer

That is great, I am on the case tomorrow. I only found out Friday and obv nobody available. I feel sick .I was also wondering if we should involve Watchdog?
