Flavour of the day - 70% write off debts above £10000....as if !!!!! Dont press 5 !!!

write off debts automated message - claimed we  had 'opted in' as if !!! pressed 9 to be removed from kist and will report to TPS for all the good that does (none)

Debt Response Team who tell me I have opted into receiving these calls (I haven't!!!)

I let message go through to the answer machine. Due to the premium rate phone line scams did not and will not press 5 or 9. Does anyone know if this debt write off legislation is true? Or is it yet another scam? Not that I need it!

Some Stupid Write off debts company claimimg they could write off 70% of Debts and gave a £10k example - press  5 to speak to someone or 9 to remove... did neither ... TPS Registered so should not be getting these calls which are pointless.

Keep receiving calls on my mobile. Just let it go to voicemail.  If they want to waste their money that's up to them.  Now I know who and what they are will report to TPS.  Definitely did not request these calls.

Rung on my mobile this morning. didn't answer as at a meeting. As i only use my mobile for texting suspected this was a sales call. Usually only get these calls on a landline or text so this just seems one more way of annoying me. I have never opted in to anything and don't owe anyone anything neither am I owed anything. Fed up of these nuisance people.

Went through to my answer machine...  As it's a local number (to me), next time I'll answer and let them know I've reported them to TPS as there's NO WAY I will have opted in as they state!

TPS can't do anything about pre-recorded calls, apparently.  Lodge the complaint with:

Debt company offering to write off my debt by sme stupid amount.

Haha, I have no credit cards so have no debt, and nor do I have a mortgage as this is a rented property. No idea who they're trying to kid, but they won't get any response from me.

Scam artists, ambulance chasers,  should be up for DNS by the "anonymous" group of hackers.

Got a call from this number which said 'd asked for financial advice and went on to offer help to clear my loan.  No loan so put down 'phone but why doesn't the TPS stop this.

I received this automated recording stating I had opted in to receive financial advise, which is false. As I m registered with TPS, ended call and will report them.

Prerecorded calls are NOT COVERED BY TPS.  This type of call should be reported to the Information Commissioner's Office.  They are working to get this type of call stopped but need us to report them first.  It's easy to do on the ICO website and you don't need the caller's name, only the 'phone number.
