- AlfO replies to Nan| 1 replySame company (they ARE busy today aren't they!) claiming they could write off 70% of my debts if over £10,000. "Press 5 to speak to someone or 9 to be removed" Yeah! Right!
I am TPS registered, but I agree in that I don't think these pre-recorded calls are covered. Never mind - The ICO is probably fed up of me complaining - BUT SO WHAT! They should do something about it! - Nan replies to AlfOThey do seem to be trying to do something. I think they need a certain number of complaints before they can act but they are probably already investigating. The guy in charge seems determined to get these pests stopped and at least the ICO has "teeth" unlike the TPS. The trouble is too many people seem to think they should report to the TPS, which of course they can't. They then just come on here and complain, but often without reading any other posts, which could have given them information.
- DavRecorded message scam, I am due compensation for accident. Do not press any buttons call off and report to your network provider by text, stating number that called you, EE is 7726

- Call type: Telemarketer
- nikfanasticFinance Affiliates
Recorded message tells me I've "opted" to receive their call - I have not.- Caller: Fiancé Affiliates
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Bethmiss| 1 replyPhoned my mobile, but didn't ring long enough for me to answer. When I phoned back I got message saying it was to do with Sales and Marketing. To opt out of messages press 9, and to opt out of phone calls contact TPS. Our home number's been registered with TPS for years, and that doesn't seem to do any good, but will try registering mobile anyway.
I didn't know you could register mobiles with TPS, so that's something I've learned!- Caller: No name given.
- AscotBeth says.... ""Rang just now, didn't answer as I don't if I don't have the number saved. Left no message.""
Beth! Thought I was getting a little paranoid, but I think you and I are becoming the norm. If I don't recognize a number I don't answer and 99.99% of the time no message left, so a bit of a pest but no harm done!!! - answermachineFrom comments below appears to be another nuisance call. Dont press 9 to unsubscribe as all this does is register that someone answers the phone
- Call type: Telemarketer
- CrestedNewtJust had the same - reported it to the ICO.
If you have time and want some fun - tell the accident claims callers that you didn't mean to kill all the people on the bus and how much are they going to pay as you have the manslaughter case tomorrow and you need to provide the judge with the compensation package as you were expecting this call.
"Windows Technical Support Centre" - tell them that you are running Linux (any flavour will do, Ubuntu, Fedora, RedHat, SuSE, SCO, Puppy Linux, etc etc, you get the idea) or a Mac and that they have the wrong information - my favourite was telling them that I had about 20 servers and I was running porn sites and I needed to know which server had the problem. Kept the guy from calling anyone else for almost an hour - doing my bit for the community! :D
PPI - you have been declared a bankrupt and you have never been able to get credit.
Just make something up if you have the time and most of all, have FUN!! Otherwise, just ignore them. - rosredFor goodness' sake, everyone who gets one of these please, please report it to the ICO - maybe that way something can be done. I got one half-an-hour ago (same recording, didn't press anything). I have an elderly person living here who would be most upset if they had taken a call suggesting they were in debt - we have never been in debt.
- LeeGoe one of thease just now also, and one yesterday from one of their alt nbumbers

- Michael| 1 replyYou can bar incoming calls from most digital landline phones. Panasonic offer this feature on my system called "Incoming Call Barring - Caller ID subscribers only". This works brilliantly, you mark received calls in your call-log as "Barred" and when that caller calls again they get a busy tone and the system disconects the call. In the meantime you don't hear the call ringing and you are not disturbed in any way, but the call appears in your call-log in the usual way.
Personally I think this is wonderful revenge!!
All the best, Michael - Gina| 1 replyAm truly sick to the back teeth of being plagued by these unwanted calls, in spite of being registered withTPS. Usual rubbish this morning from this one, would cancel 70% of my debt, etc. Told him I'd never asked for their "pack", never had a debt and to stop ringing my number, Caller wouldn't listen, kept talking over me, so I hung up.
These 0151, 0161, international calls are relentless, every day....- Caller: 01519091965
