As others here I received automated call regarding debts which I do not have.

This process only takes a short while. If everyone who has complained here (this thread started 4 days ago and we are on page 7) took the same action then we should get somewhere.

We are registered with the TPS but still get these stupid pre-recorded messages.  It really is so annoying.  Can nothing be done about these morons?

A recorded message offering to sort out debts above £10,000 and claiming that I had asked for this information to be sent to me because I access financial information. "Press 5 to receive an information pack, press 9 to be removed from the calling list."  I pressed 9.

The ICO are as useful as a chocolate teapot or a motorbike ashtray. They refuse to taker any action ever. I don't know how they justify their existence, refusing to do the job they exist to do.

They called me 22/2/13 at 11:50am. I put the phone down.

Th rules are pretty clear and it would be good to get a fine against these people.  Telemarketing is a valuable contributor to UK employment but companies like this destroy creditability for the ethical practitioners.

this debt collector/telemarketer inflicts repetitive cold and silent calls to anyone who is vulnerable enough to be taken in by them which is a total harassment and must be banned stopped by the ICO ring and lodge your complaint to help stop these desperate low life idiots preying on vulnerable people.

Called for a third time on my land line at 12.30 Thurs 21/02/2013

Debt response scheme saying I had opted into calls ( I have not and I have no debts). Called number back hoping to speak to someone to remove my number from their list. Automated response saying call nothing to worry about, just sales and marketing and they may or may not call again! Pressed 9 to opt out but doubt it will have any effect. Heartily sick of all these calls: I have no debt, have not had an accident, have never paid PPI   and do not have cavity walls. I am a member of the TPS and I wish they'd all just leave me alone.

Recorded message stating I have opted in to receive updates (I have not).  Invites to press 5 for info or 9 to opt out.

You can say that a million time if you like, they are not listening.

Only thing that gets up their noses is answering machines and call blockers. I use both so if one scumbag does get past the blocker they are shot down by the answering machine then once the number been noted I enter it into the blocker for which they are no more, like a dead parrot.

This company called me too> unsolicited calls really annoy!

The posh boys at number ten probably think these scammers are wonderful as it keeps them of the unemployment register.

Getting used to not answering the phone unless I think I recognise the number.
Must remember to check for messages.

On the other hand.....rather than ignoring the call is their something positive I could do to help get rid of the problem?

I receive 1 to 2 nuisance calls per week although I am TPS registered.

I just received a call. I did not answer, and naturally they did not leave an message.
