had my number at my parents house where not lived for 20 years ...any ideas

Apparently 'McKenzie-Hall' a reference number (which has been left on your answerphone)and your address is required before any operative will accommodate for your query as to why they called you. They are very rude, and this is most likely a marketing call... especially on Valentines Day!

Have left several messages for someone who has never lived at my address. I've Googled them and it seems they buy old debts from other lenders.

They buy old debt, and I mean old...well beyond the statute of limitations. They actually suggested a debt of 350 pounds going back 7 years plus could be paid off at £2 a week.

I suggest they give DCA's a bad name

Very rude, Uneducated and Inefficient. Still never found out what they actually do, except try and be clever (which isn't). Who ever the boss is, he should look at his staff and throw them all out on the street, before finding himself a nice cool rock to climb under.

Gotta a txt saying call Michelle at Mackenzie Hall immediately - don't know who they are or where they got my number from - not gonna call it cos don't know who it is.

We've just received a text message from these guys as well.  Most probably a marketing scam.  I would advise everyone not to reply to such rubbish.  I know I'm not going to.

Mackenzie Hall are bottom feeders that but debt that are unenforcable or nearly unenforcable. DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY. The company will lie to you and intimadate you on the telephone to get you to agree to making payments. DO NOT CALL THEM and DO NOT SPEAK ON THE PHONE TO THEM.

If you make a payment, even £1 you will restart the whole process again and be liable for the whole debt. Seek help at the site ive listed. Its free.

called adn left a message asking to call urgently quoting a reference number - glad I found this site - I thought someone I knew had put me down for a reference.

Yep, got the same text message to my home phone number to call Emma at McKenzie Hall.  I def know we have no debt outstanding so will not be calling them back.

Same call from  Emma at Mckenzie Hall.  I know that the owner 8 years ago still has mail sent here.  Ignore all calls relating to McKenzie Hall.  May charge astonomical fee just to call them.

ALSO HAD THE SAME TEXT MESSAGE VIA LANDLINE. WILL NOT BE CALLING THEM AS WE OWE NOTHING.

Also had call from Emma at McKenzie Hall. They left a text message on my home phone number with a reference number to call them back. We do not have any debt outstanding so am definitely not going to contact them. They sound horrible!

Had a text message left from "Mary" and the message was unintelligable and the number that was given was unrecognised. (01563 556507)

Gave a reference number and told to call them urgently. Not gonna do it since I've readup and the number is unrecognisable. If they were that desperate to contact me... Ring me in person. I have an answer phone if I'm not about and I have no idea what this is about so. No ringing them.

had a text on my mams phone to call immediately, mam rang them said they wanted to speak to me, how shocking is that on my mams phone

Dont return their call they will get fed up before I do. This is their second try got them well sorted now. How they read this as they are welcome to call as often as they like.

I answered the call, but did not give my name or details.
Told them they must have a wrong number.
I am in debt with no one.
They still insist on calling, so I just ignore the phone call.
I will see if BT will register it as a nuisance call.
