My son used my home adddress & phone number to obtain an 02 account & has run up debt. He has not lived at my address for 3 years & Council Tax records prove this, yet McKenzie Hall refuse to remove my contact number from their records stating I must get my son to contact them to do that. This is harassment.

got a call from the 01563 554540 number.  told the chap the person he ws looking for not here anymore.  said they would remove it from the register, he was quite polite.  hopefully that'll be the end of it.

So they call my work (direct dial in number) and ask me to confirm my details. First it was Laura. She tried to bully me into giving up personal details. She told me they had tried to write to me several times to which I then responded..'if that was the case, they have all my details and can always write another letter to me...' Result: Laura hung up.

A month later it was Alex, tried the same bullying tactic and I told him I was having none of it, could he confirm his details to me, home address and date of birth. he said no and so I asked why he expected me to do so when i had no idea who they were or what they wanted. Result: he hung up on me too.

today it was chris and I told him to take a hike or else it will be the Ombudsman picking up his phone.

received a voicemail on landline to give a call back to mckenzie-hall.... I've only had my landline installed 2 months ago.....i will not be ringing them as in no debt, how did they get my number nobody else has it!!!

Debt buyer serves Mack Hall founder with court order 22 January 2013

Paul Mackenzie, the former chief executive of debt collection agency Mackenzie Hall, is being taken to court by the company that acquired his former business.

US-based Portfolio Recovery Associates (PRA) purchased Scottish firm Mackenzie Hall for a reported £33.5m in January 2012, marking its entrance into the UK market.

Mackenzie, of Strathaven in Lanarkshire, entered a long-term employment agreement with PRA but he subsequently left his position at the company in July last year.

Law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn, which is acting on behalf of PRA, has served Mackenzie with a summons, which was returned to the Court of Session in Edinburgh on 15 January.

There is an action by way of a petition in the name MacKenzie Hall Holdings for orders under section one of the Administration of Justice Act.

Under this section, the court has the power to bring individuals before it who may have information in already issued civil proceedings.

A hearing date has not yet been confirmed.

Mackenzie Hall, which is based in Kilmarnock, provides outsourced and contingent debt recovery on behalf of banks, credit providers and debt purchasers, as well as distressed and dormant niche portfolio purchasing. It employs around 170 people.

Had a call with phone number 0156 3556700 it is Makenzie Hall I googled it and found it was a debt collection agency so I'm not phoning back I don't owe anyone money so if they persist on calling me ill take a court order out for harassment  as every time they call I've got to get up to answer call I am disabled and don't need to be pestered by these people So please leave me alone !!!!!!

Had call today from mh, asking for Mr Roberts. Wen z they have wrong number and hung up, I then received a text message from them asking Mr Roberts to contact them immediately. Didn't return call, instead looked up mh on Internet to see who they are, after reading other comments glad I didn't waste money on phone call to them b*****ds. Thanku

Keep getting text messages regarding Mackenzie hall asking for someone called Craig smith if you are on here get in touch with them as I'm sick of getting phone calls and messages left for you

They are a low life debt collection agency who do not abide by the law. Never give them details and never speak to them.

Based in Kilmarnock, not Glasgow. I recognise the area code - I should do, I lived there for 17yrs!  (They're within driving, if not walking distance, of the Dick Institute - which is the library - if anyone wants to throw that back at them.)

had daily messages starting from 8.20 am to call them. no other details. wont be calling after reading these posts.
