Right, so you don't know anything about how we do things within the company, yet you pass judgement based on hugely biased comments on this website.  It's not a strong argument is it.

I pass judgement on my own experience at the hands of your company. In addition the fact that your company’s annual accounts are overdue, that the Cheshire police have concerns about your business. Investigative journalists are researching your company actions and will make compelling viewing when the programme is broadcast. My views are not based solely in this page but your repugnant companies own actions. I would say my argument is a lot stronger than yours and factually based.

I have worked at amanico and ill give you my honest opinion.
i had some (and i say some)enjoyable times working there, yes there were the odd bit of gossip flying about which is normal for any company.

i didnt find the wages very good and i couldnt live on them, yes they are very flexible and will help you if you need it.
i got on very well with both simon and mandy and manhy members of the staff. there is the odd team leader there who is a bit above her station.

as for cold calling at the end of the day its a job, some people could be sat at home on the dole spending tax payers hard earn money but they dont, they actually get out of bed and go to work.

you might not like them calling you and they might not like calling you but there trying to make a living, there are some people out there who actually welcome there call as its a service some people want.

belive it or not the employees are not mind readers and dont know weather your making tea or sleeping.

just spare a thought next time your about to launch into a volley of abuse just think about how you would like it if someone spoke to you like that.

you wouldnt do it to someone in the street or in a pub so dont do it on the phone.

Factually based my [***]!  Yours is based on "investigations" and "interest" rather than anything that has actually happened.  People have supposedly been reporting us to the police since before i started working there in April and nothing whatsoever has happened, probably because we're not doing anything wrong and if anything the police are probably getting bored of people like you whinging because you think the TPS protects you when you or someone else gives out your details.  If we are really as bad as you try to say we are, then why have we just struck a deal with the largest online life insurance broker in the country?  Perhaps you would like to use your inside knowledge of our company to explain that one?

Russell we will never agree. My reasons to dislike your company are; that you harass members of the public with repeated telephone calls. In addition you do not adhere to company law. You consider that both of these to be acceptable behaviour and seem to be proud of your companies behaviour. I do not; hence I consider your company actions to be abhorrent.

Correct, we will never agree because once people have their mind set on themselves being right, its very difficult for them to then admit that they are wrong.  We don't harrass people who actually take the time to speak to us rather than just ignore their phone.  All you are doing by not picking up is making the dialler think you aren't in so obviously you will get another call.  It's the same when you ask for e.g. Mr Smith and the real Mr Smith says that he isn't in.  It's pointless.  I know that some people get called numerous times, but I once checked our phone number archive and some people are on the database up to 10 times each, which means that somewhere along the line they have given our their details that many times and they have been sold to us by the data company.  Go back through the posts Rob and you will find a few people saying that after asking to be taken off the system then they don't get any more calls.

Who here gets junk mail, honestly?  I know I do but I don't then start moaning about it online, I just delete it and carry on but it still keeps coming.  At least you have an easy way of opting out of our calls.  Do you consider advertising harrassment then?  Or people selling the Big Issue?  Because you don't have a choice whether or not you see adverts or get asked to buy something on the street, but because its on the phone everybody seems to crap themselves.

P.S. Rob, I hope I haven't thrown a spanner in your extra-sensory skills that allow you to browse through all our files and records, you don't seem to have mentioned anything about our new business plan...

Russell I do enjoy a good debate. I am sorry to disappoint you but I do not extra sensory perception, use kryptonite or save the world in my spare time. My views are drawn from what is in the public domain and my own experiences of your company.
I agree that you do remove details once someone asks to speak with management. However in my experience when I ask the telesales operator not to phone again I did get repeat calls. I pose two ethical questions should we have to opt out of nuisance calls.
The other ethical question is the quality of the personal data that you have been using. Many people, myself included have never answered survey, competitions ect but our details have been sold to you a prospective customers.

Well you've just shot yourself in the foot there with your second argument.  We are not the ones who collect the data, we just buy it from the data companies so if there is an issue with the quality of it, then that's not our problem.

In response to your first question, not everybody would say it is a nuisance call, in fact many people are happy for us to offer our services.  There is a thing called Intralink, which is basically that little box at the bottom of some websites that you either have to tick OR un-tick to opt out of marketing calls, so in essence the answer is yes, you DO sometimes have to opt out, but like I said just then, its not us who collect the data so we can't really be held responsible.

Russell; thank you for your frank reply. So we are agreed that the some of the issues often debated on this site. Appear to the responsibility of the companies that you buy data from. I do thank you for being informative concerning Intralink.
As an aside would you like to comment why your annual accounts are overdue at companies house? In my 27 years in business I have always regarded it jolly bad form to late post accounts. I always want the business world to see how well our company is doing.

OK Rob, lets assume that our company is called A, we have another company, B, working for us who in turn have C working for them.  The reason that accounts may be not up to date is that C have not paid the bill for B, which creates a domino effect resulting in B not paying A but all this is going to change with the new Click Life deal.  However we are still doing a helluva lot better than some companies who have gone under during this credit crunch.

And yes, we can finally agree on something regarding the quality of the data.  Like I have said before it is not up to the people on the phone where the data comes from.

I am still waiting actually for your comment regarding what you think about the aforementioned deal.  Or are you just ignoring that on purpose?  I've answered all your questions, now its your turn.

Standard accounts practice since 2001 has been in the basis of Accurial Basis reporting. This means that accounts have the activity of the here a now and not when you get paid.  Some commercial process has a very long gestation period for example forestry when where the trees may take 100 years to grow. They appear in the accounts as assets from when they are planted to when they cut down and sold for timber. An outstanding invoice would appear as an asset on you balance sheet.
What you have described a cash flow crisis. This can easily be overcome by using the factoring services of a bank. In the past you mocked people with foundation degrees as being of little or no value. If you had gained one in business studies you would know the basis of accounting.
As for comments regarding your deal. Firstly well done, I have been in sales for over 25 years and know who exciting landing a good deal can be. They way to keep it is offer a good service to one who is paying you. In addition not to generate significant amounts complaints. In addition keeping the number to with in the standard statistical deviation that your new principle would expect. There in lies your challenge.

You're right Rob, if I had studied business I would probably know what the hell you are talking about, but my argument regarding foundation degrees was not that they don't teach you anything, but that it doesn't make it any easier to get a job related to that qualification.

I am sure that Click Life are well aware of everything to do with our company before agreeing to the deal, and that includes knowing how many complaints we get (the actual figure not being that great, most of the ones on here are the same complaint by the same person) and also what we can achieve in terms of lead generation and sales capabilities.  They didn't get where they are now by taking on just anybody.

You all have far to much time on your hands, I have come on this website by accident and find it very amusing. Nuisance calls are obviously taken up time of yours Rob, which you dont like but please dont waste any more by bickering on the website.

Russell you are obviously protecting your place of work, but why bother getting abuse off people when you get home?

Don't bother answering as I am nevr coming on this website again cos I have better things to do with my time. Just some food for thought.

Hi Laffin at me part 2.
It took only 15 seconds to find that company info. Thanks for enquiring after my heart and health, No doubt it will disappoint you to learn that I am excellent physical and mental shape this is due to me being a scuba diving instructor as well as a senior manager in an international trading company. Amico/ Xpress direct ect will find it’s own destiny, I don’t need to help along the path to the receiver, it can do it on its own. Though I did find the explanation of why it had not posted its accounts at companies house highly amusing and not based in reality.
    Have a great week.

I'm not having a go Rob, but look a bit further and you will find that Click Life is actually the most recent product that the larger, more established company Click have put on the market.  It is their own brand of life insurance, the actual company is just called Click and I think they've been going for about 14 years or something like that.  Long enough to establish themselves as a heavy hitter in the online life insurance brokerage business anyway.
