Report a phone call from 01612421780 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Wee Man| 13 repliesGot a missed call from this number and phoned it up. Turned out to be some marketing company...how they got my number i don't know, anyways they said they would phone back and took my name and number which i thought was strange because they called me so i decided to google the number. Turns out to be a scam, the company claim to be an up and coming international marketing firm but really they make you sell dodgy products through door to door sales.
- scamspotter| 1 replyThe call could be from any of the following companies trying to 'recruit' you:
EA Worldwide Acquisitions
JL Acquisitions Ltd
G Force Marketing
SRM Marketing
Primus UK Ltd
They are all at 16 Newton Street, Manchester. Google their names along with 'scam' or 'cult' for for more info, or see other posts here. - door to doorthese guys are a scam! they have posted several job adverts offering a career changing opportunity - but when you actualy get to the interview you soon realise that it is a door to door sales job, in my case it was charity work in Rochdale.

Cheers for this, also check out this site. I'm glad iv just found this, got an interview tomorrow...somehow i think i wont be in attendance!
I thought they seemed dodgy...they spammed online job sites, and for a marketing company they have a terrible website and considering they have been going since "2005" you'd think they'd have a decent site by now.
annoyed- Caller: Primus uk limited
- SophiaI can't believe EA Acquisitions are a scam- Gumtree need to monitor who they advertise jobs for. I also have an 'interview' tomorrow- will not be going. Am really gutted though, but mostly angry!!!!!!!!

- job seekeralso was supposed to be going for an interview but no way now!

please dont answer. save your breath- Caller: Primus Uk
- big o| 2 repliesasked to attend interview the day AFTER i sent in CV (dodgyness 1). Advert in Total jobs very vague (dodgyness 2). I phoned the company for a brief low down on what they do and the lady was vague and said it would all be explained at interview (dodgyness 3). The lady gave me a web site address that does not exist (incompetent or dodgy 4). Generally very bizzare company all round which sets alarm bells ringing. Follow your gut feeling...
My advice is to check Companies House.- Caller: Primus UK LTD
- Tinks| 6 repliesYep, this is a total scam. I applied for the job on totaljobs.com for the company SRM Marketing. Later in the week i recieved an email from Primus marketing saying I had been selected for a preliminary interview...i couldnt actually remember applying for a job with them, but seen as I had sent out quite alot of CV's I thought I must have.
I went to this 'preliminary interview' today, kind of suprised to see that the location was abit of a shoddy building on Newton Street, Manchester. Awaiting in the waiting room was a number of other 'hopefully job seekers' wanting this position.
The interview was the easiest I have attended, and lasted 10 mins. The interviewee then concluded saying that they had 100 applicants and ould be contacting the top 15 by the end of the day to arrange a further interview. Low and behold...at 6 oclock, a call came from - 01612 421780!! Hmmm Dodgy!
If same happens to you, don't bother wasting time or money going to the interview(s), according to other sources it appears to be a [***] scam/door-to-door sales job, and to be honest, who pays their way through Uni to end up with a job like that.
Hope this helps anyone!- Caller: PRIMIUS/SRM Marketing
- michellesame thing happened to me, i applied for a job and in this desperate tim got really excited that i got a call. am al ready to go to my interview now was justreaseaching the company then this comes up. im torn dont know whether to go to the interview or not?
- Caller: srm marketing
- BoogalooI applied for jobs with Primus UK, SRM Marketing and G force Marketing!.. and yep, all are the same company/business at the same address in Manchester.
I attended the interview with G Force (name doesn't matter as they're all really the same company). The office was tatty and I was there about 10 mins. Not a good look. Basically it's door to door sales for cheap wages.
Another one to watch out for it 3D Marketing in Manchester.. it also several other names.
Is this illegal does anyone know?
:) - this should be illegalI was conned and went to the second interview called the 'observation' day. Basically watched a 20 year old lad trying to do door to door sales for 8 hours...
I was meant to be back at the shoddy offices in Manchester by 8 in the evening, but due to his(and probably everyone he works with) lack of organisation we missed both the half seven and half eight train.
This meant we wouldn't be back in Manchester till 10 o'clock. When I questioned him about this he literally ran off. I tried to follow him but couldn't. I was stranded in the middle of no where and had no way to get home. It was actually horrific.
I've reported them to reed job agency.- Caller: SRM Marketing
- xyzYeah I got a phonecall from this number last week, same story as most others seem to have on here. I was phoned three times and recieved two voice messages the day I sent my CV in. I then got an email from somebody called Mel saying that "after carefully reviewing your past experiences and skills, you have been selected for a preliminary interview. The information that you have provided us has demonstrated that your past experiences and your ambitions potentially could match our company needs."
I eventually rung them, got invited to interview the following day, but after reviewing this website and others I decided to give it a miss!
Internet job searching is tedious enough as it is, without having to filter out all the crap like this, websites like reed and totaljobs should get their act together and delete these adverts. As a rule, I now ignore any ad which is written in BLOCK CAPS, has a string of exclamation marks after each point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or those which are far too keen to stress NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!!!!! - ABCMy husband got the same thing a call then e-mail to invite for interview. I saw that their e-mail address was from a g-mail account and not a company account so decided to google it then i saw this website. I read all the comments above but my husband still wanted to see how these people work etc so he is there now as i type this... I told him to be careful and if anyhting seems dodgy just get up and leave... see how it goes???

- MIKGot a call from these today and I think my vision was a bit clouded from the fact that I finally had an employer return a phone call! Did find it strange that I had only applied yesterday though and received the phone call today. Anyway, research on the company turned up nothing but an amateur website and then discovered a link through similar job adverts and locations to Primus UK which I googled to find this page. Thankfully I read these before I went to the interview on Friday! Back to the job hunt I suppose. Will be avoiding amateurish CAPS LOCK ads and poorly written rubbish in the future though.

- LOLfortunately found this web page before i decided to go for the interview tomoro....Thanks everyone who posted this

- Shocked lolIs this the same for the nottingham one? because everyone seems to go on about manchester, i applied online and got a job interview tomorrow because they rang back! now not sure what to do ..
- Caller: Primiusuk ltd
- Shocked lolalso i forgot to mention, i applied to day, got an email staright away to call for an interview and was called today aswell, where they left a voicemail! now that i think about it, does seem odd, bit desperate for a company going since something like 2006!

- Dodgy people - Primus UK LtdI went for an interview the other day just to see what it was all about as the information on their 'job' advert was very breif and unhelpful. When I turned up to their shabby 'offices' which had nothing in hardly I was put into a room and told to fill out an 'application form' which was basically my name and address. I was also told to bring my cv, even though they already had one...a little strange.
Their 'waiting room'looked like something from The Real Hussle (the con show) and I got a little dubious then. So I went into the 'interview' which was a short chat, very unofficial, wasn't interested in me at all, just wanted another idiot to fall for their dodgy scheme.
Came out afterwards and just had a gut feeling something wasn't quite right. After searching on the internet and finding NOTHING about them at all and how they work alarm bells started to ring. Then I came accross this website.... says it all really.
DON'T FALL FOR THEIR DODGY SCAM!!
ps, I actually help people earn an extra income of £50 per week from home so if anyone is interested please feel free to get in touch....
www.extra-income.org.uk - fanuloni| 1 replyI have little more to add, really. Everything is dodgy in these companies, all in the same address and telephone number. The first thing that attracted my attention was that there were no logos in the office (more like a warehouse than an office). Then I realised that the initials JL are those of the same person who interviewed me (Jack Lynch), who turned out to be the Manager Director or something like that (can you imagine Bill Gates interviewing you for a job in Microsoft?). After the first interview -which I obviously passed successfully after a really fast-spoke speech- I just sent them an e-mail to tell them I wasn't interested. It was only after I sent the e-mail when I googled the telephone number and found all this information here. So I am really happy with the decision I made. Remember guys: if something looks dodgy at the very first start, trust your instincts and don't go further. What they do may not be illegal, but they're not upfront.
