this number is a fraud. ive reported them and ill make sure something gets done. they trying to get people to pass on there details by feeding them lies and claiming things have happened such as car accidents that never took place.

Keeps ringing me, I've asked them to stop, which happens for a while then starts again

Get a grip guy and girls. They called me and i was £2200 up after 4 months. There aim is to provide u with a service that helps YOU claim compo. I had whiplash from an accident NOT but no one can prove it can they??? so i lied through the back teeth and made some money out of it!! Easy money.

To the guy that said he's unemployed and for these people to get a real job! your a [***] mate. These people have familys and need to feed mouths just like all of us. What ever you can do to work you just do it to pay bills and feed your family. So YOU get off your [***] and find a job and stop lettin your wife do all the work.

Caller said he represented 'BikeDevil' and would have got my number from 'Oulton Park' or 'Brands Hatch' neither of which have I any connection with nor have I attended recently.  He had to ask some questions owing to the Data Protection Act and that was where I put the 'phone down.

Spoke today with a "representative" from this so called company (No. 01612494496) who claimed to be calling from Fortis.  He kept asking me to confirm my details (which I obviously didn't do having read this and other web sites in response to previous dodgy calls).  After termintating the call I contacted the legitimate call centre for Fortis.  The adviser was extremely helpful and confirmed that they had not tried to contact me, had no reason to contact me, nor had asked a third party company to contact me.  Details passed for them to investigate!!

P.S. As for the comment posted by "haveajob" on the 14th april 09 - somewhat interesting that the only person to endorse this company admits to committing insurance fraud! Says it all!

This company had called us a few times before and there was silence when I answered.   My husband answered the call today and was told they were phoning about an accident he'd had in the past 2 years which ofcourse he knew nothing about.  Because they mentioned accident and a claim form he'd filled in, even though he knew he hadn't, he very niavely gave them his address and date of birth.   I can't believe he was so stupid!   Does anyone know what they are likely to do with this info?

This company are Chameleon Testicles or something. They are a bunch of crooks claiming to be Fortis Insurance. Don't give them any personal information. report the f***ers to the plod.

To Concerned.. If agents say their calling from Fortis an u have been with Fortis for ur car insurance then tell me how did they get that right without havin fortis pass on your info? They phoned me and i was a bit unsure but hey they have a job to do!! I gave them some info but didnt claim for anyhing!

I have literally just received a call from this number today at 14.27.  I answered and they said nothing and then put the telephone down.

After receiving a call from this company (Chameleon Telesales/Action Claims)claiming that my information had been passed from Fortis, my insurer when I had an accident in 2007 that wasn't my fault - I was a bit suspicious.
They seemed to have all the details of my accident, and I didn't divulge anything to them til they told me what details they had then I confirmed them.
They wanted to pursue a personal claim for injury "at no cost to yourself".
I spoke to one of their solicitors and everything seemed legitimate - then she said she would speak to the third party insurers and get back to me.
I used this time to ring Fortis (luckily I had still kept documentation regarding the accident) so rang the direct claim number.
Fortis checked and it turns out that they actually pass your information on to Action Claims with regards to personal injury claims etc that are not followed up when the insurance claim is sorted.
So this company could be legitimate - going to see if they ring back and what happens next - and will post again when anything else happens....
