For sixty years I have lived in a house with a telephone. It was there for emergencies and for some contact with friends.  Suddenly my peace is invaded by seven calls a day by unsolicited callers. My wife and I are elderly and peace is important for our health.  I am also mindful of all those people upon which we relay for various services who work nights or shifts.  Why should we all have our lives blighted by greedy, profit hungry and often unscrupulous traders.  Often there is no voice as it is from an automated caller who having caught somebody then aborts all other calls.

Yet again these people keep calling today 8 times and its a JOKE !!!! The last time they asked for the same customer name and then promptly put the phone down....

Called by Lee to my home number by Tameside Insulation.  My number is suppossed to be unavailable to cold calling companies. Is this STILL allowed?

If it's a legit. company, it's not going to do it any good. I don't like the shouting on your post, that doesn't make a good impression either. Turning the tables and saying the person you have called is breaking the law saying they have TP when they haven't seems questionable. Is TI going to take them to court??

He is talking rubbish anyway.  It is the job of the company calling us to "scrub" their lists to remove TPS registered numbers, it is not our job to wait until the pests 'phone us and tell them.  Needless to say, it is not illegal to say you are TPS registered if you are not.  When they 'phoned me I told them the 'phone is TPS Iregistered and reported them to TPS, they rang a second time and I reported them again.  No calls since.

Tameside Insulation rang yesterday. Lady sounded genuine,but then I checked this site.  Thanks for the heads-up.

This company now uses a differnt name now called tameside energy services,thet been fined 45 grand yesterday for making cold calls.they still ringing people the same as before.they are a joke now replacing boilers that there whos nothing wrong with and there surveyors conning people by saying that all cavitys are less than 50mm to get the money from the goverment.

These jokers keep calling me. Booked a visit last week then their person arrived chucked a bucket of water over him from upstairs.

If your [***] company is all above board why has the ICO (information commissioners office)thought it appropriate to fine your Company £45000.

I did answer the call and had your partner fill the wall insulation which now turns out to be bad advice due to poor surveying on your part as I can see thus far your partners company has killed a pensioner fined £500,000 fined £45000 for nuisance calls and about to be inundated with compensation claims for chasing the cash doing work that wasn't in the interest of the client so who's in the wrong??
