missed call just looking for some help to see who it was

Birmingham accented female asking if I wanted credit card refund

Just got a call from this number. No one at the other end then the caller rang off after a few seconds. Have people nothing better to do? Must be a scam of some sort!

It's a company who beleive they can claim back payment protection claims.

Got a miss call from 01618502123. Don't know who is this? Phone got cut as soon as I received it.

mThis number called and put the phone down. I believe it is a anchester number.

They claim not to be a sales company but just a lovable bunch of people who want to get me some money back (very nice of them).

Basically just your general scam. Wasnt too pushy and hung up quickly (and sarcastically) when I told him I wasnt interested.

Just had call on mobile from 01618502123 - I thought they called themselves Wyart Legal Service.  They said they were calling about MY Payment Protection Claim and that they had a refund for me. I asked them -  what Payment Protection Claim - they said the one I took out during the last 10 years - (hmmmmm) - I said I had no idea what they were talking about - they said they would said me a claim form - I said no and asked if this was a sales call - they hung up......funny that!!  Having said that they were fairly polite :-)

Was going to ring it back but not know =)

Amazes me that I have had this brand new mobile number a few days and they called it. I did not answer as I knew that I had not given this number to anyone except for my children.

I got a new number exactly for this sort of reason. So frustrating.

I don't have a loan or give my mobile to random companies & I've had a miseed call. I'll blacklist them after reading this. Thanks!

got a call from these guys out of the blue on monday, as i was in work i couldnt answer but then phoned them when i had the chance. There Wierd Legal Services based in manchester.. there just like a million other companys in the UK trying to re-claim PPI which is fair enough.. very polite!! nothing suspicious about them.

Just got a call from this number, disconnected as soon as I answered, presumably an auto-dialler. No reputable company uses these.

If they call back and get through I'll ask them about Barry Young :)

Lady just rang offering refund on something to do with credit card, loan, mortgage or car insurance.

I asked her to repeat who she was numerous times but couldn't make out what she was saying. I asked how she got my number and she said she was ringing everyone in the UK.

She gave up after I told her I didn't have a credit card, loan, mortgage or car.

Had this lot on the phone.  Stupidly gave out name, address, mortgage lender and mortgage amount with them saying they will send a pack out.  Should I be really worried/do anything or is it just a case of binning anything that comes throught in the post?

17.09.10 Just had these on my mobile saying I'm owed some refund when I questioned was it a sales call Darren said no but I was entitled to a refund.  Told them that was rubbish and I wasn't intrested so he sarcasticly hung up.

Called the back annoyed they have my number and told the same rubbish saying they were calling everone in the uk.  I asked where they a government company said they where regulated and when puched for their web address they gave www.ppiclaimsadvice.com

website is usless shows an 0800 number a .com email adress and no info about who they really are.  All rather strange tto me.

I pushed on the Data protection Act and how they had my number said its not a database just random numbers called.  When questioned further why they are phoning with an unsolicited call got sarcastic and again pushed the 'so you don't want a refund line'.  Buggs me so much when you get cold callers and you can so easy trip up and give out information which could lead to identity theft!  BEWARE!

No a number to be trusted they may use more numbers 01254 685660. /  01253 291609. /  they first start with this number 0161 850 2123 do not trust..

Did you have anything happen to you regarding this? I gave out my mortgage provider, My full name and address, but stopped when they asked for mortgage amount and email address...
