I stupidly got roped into this service and also resold it to my customers which I now regret!!

They have a huge turnover of staff, my plan yielded no results whatsoever over a 6 month period, their so called reports are junk/tell you nothing and they made a complete pigs ear of my customer plans (I lost 4 as a result).

I have complained to Trading Standards, Google and Yell as this company should not be allowed to trade.

Even though I have cancelled all dealings with them, they are still taking money out of my account monthly as they have my card details.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Had a call myself from one of the 'lovely guys' in that company. Told him politely I was not interested but thank you for the call. He would have nothing of it and started questioning my work ethic. I knew immediately that this could not be a representative of Google so I kept quiet. He went on for a while, I just sat there smiling to myself and once he caught his breath, I asked him…’Are you finished now?’ He said ‘What?’… I replied ‘Glad you got that off your chest. Good bye.’ And hung up. Was expecting a call back but it did the trick. No more calls from them.

Hi Guys I was directed to this site by a business associate after I'd recommended Matchmaker to him. My experinces with Matchmaker are in the main very positive although I did receive a number of calls from them before yielding to their sales pitch. Nonetheless as a result I have recived more traffic through my site and increased business. I have to say that that I receive no more calls from Matchmaker than any other 'advertising' medium and at present I would have to say that my company's return on it's inveatment is profitable.

Have been receiving countless call from this company over the past few months. Their sales techniques is aggressive and downright rude, on each occasion that they called I have been given out to like a naughty schoolchild for telling them we weren't interested. Today was the last straw, when the salesperson hung up on me, midway through me telling him that I wasn't interested.
I rang the company back and spoke to a so-called manager, who said the salesperson would be reprimanded... will he? heck no, the manager was just as rude... is there anywhere else we can go to make an official complaint about these guys as I'm pretty sure the staff there are encouraged to behave this way?

I went for an interview with these guys yesterday. It wasn't an interview at all! There were 4 of us sat there, a man explained the job and asked if we wanted to start tomorrow. Didn't even check my identification, or ask ANY questions about my experience.

Still, I gave it the benefit of the doubt and went along today. I was stuck listening ALL DAY to an "advisor" and recieved no coaching at all. The office was overcrowded and everything about it screamed DODGY.

Advisors sell the product however they want.

Needless to say, I won't be going back tomorrow. The most unprofessional office I have ever seen.

This company is a joke offering my services that i already provide to my clients. When the woman started lieing to me by indicating they are Google affiliated and I argued back to all their accusations in the end she was speechless and said "Help i have a client who knows more than me i cant baffle on about anything to him" (without realising i could hear her).

When i said i heard her she quickly hang up.

I feel sorry for all other people that fall for companies like this... because if you don't know how SEO, PPC, Google, etc works - its easy to believe the lies they tell you.

These guys called us today and were still trying to sell me their services after I told them we were an Search Engine Optimisation company ourselves (albeit one that doesn't go around cold-calling)!! Unbelievably rude and pushy and I had to hang up on her to get rid. Makes me really angry when they don't take a polite hint and you have to rise to it and be rude back to them. Avoid Matchmaker Marketing like the plague.

I received a call from Matchmaker Marketing day before yesterday claiming their relationship with Google.  I told the salesperson (a very agressive man) that if he gave ME two weeks of FREE placement so that they could prove themselves to me, then I would sign for a month. After some studdering, he hung up on me.  Why would I give my credit card number to any Tom, Dick, or Harry on the phone?

Google needs to file a lawsuit on these people and shut them down.  Step up Google!!!

Absolute rip - off as already mentioned - If you have taken their "Trial" CANCEL it, as I've just had my renewal invoice for the 2nd month £113.85 which has been debited. Phillip Holman and Matchmaker are incompetent in all aspects of promoting adwords, but extremely good at obtaining money without supplying the service.

I purchased the product from Matchmaker for the trial period and since it did exactly as described, I called them, eager to renew!

I am NOT representing them in any way as others here have been accused of for defending them. I am a Glasgow based local minibus hire company and will prove that to anyone that needs it.

However, from reading these pages and seeing how many bad experiences there have been, I'm very worried. So worried that I have cancelled my debit card and await its replacement in a few days (my bank told me that there is no way, they could re-take any money if I do this. Its the only way to make sure, apart from cancelling any standing order or direct debit one may have set up).

But what I don't understand is why my experience has been so different from the majority in here?

Every day since I purchased the product, I check to make sure that I'm still listed in the Sponsored Links and always have been... until today!
For the first time in over a month, I'm no longer visible on the first page and this is what worries me.
I'm still awaiting a call-back from them to discuss it so will come back here with the outcome.

I have dealt with this company for about 9 months. I have had a mixed relationship with them. For the adwords work they do, it is quite good - please understand this is not rocket science - and for a quick easy result, you generally get what you pay for.

The problem you will have with them is that they will try to get you to sign up to a direct debit. I didn't do this, but did give them a one off card payment. The first time round I got charged the wrong amount and they took money without authorisation. I did get it back. My more recent experience with them I put it in writing that the payment was one off and under no circumstances should they try to take a second payment. They did and this is now with my bank, who will go into bat against them. Once they have your money, they will do anything to hold on to it and gave me a whole long list of reasons why they could not refund the money they have taken. This side of the business is what some people would call sharp. I have another word for it and may return to this site later to give you the full story.

PLEASE dont blame the reps, they get FINED £50 every day they dont get a sale !!! the pressure they are under is immense !!

Matchmaker have recently changed the name to ZENITH MEDIA because of bad press.
They have numbers in new york ireland and paris, but guess what!!!  they all get answered in manchester !!!!

After contacting matchmaker marketing and requesting to stop payment as the product they offered just didnt work for us.. payment constantly gets taken from our account. After speaking with our bankers, it turns out that they have a kind of subscription scam where by they have contracts with VISA etc that they can constantly take money from the card, it cannot be cancelled, even if you cancel the account, they request info from the card company to see if you have any other cards they can use. The only way to actually cancel is to request the bank to reclaim the money they have taken on each occassion until they no longer take funds!

Oh and we were advised to put a complaint into trading standards, so any body scanning this website from matchmaker (or any sales personal writing positive comments to con people) BEWARE!!

We are a firm of Solicitors who have also been pestered by these people. Claiming to act for Google. We eventually commissioned them to design a website. 4 months later they are now saying that they have technical issues which means that our website cannot be uploaded/access the internet.  

They have refused to give the name of their CEO. Suffice to say we will now proceed to legal action and refer to trading standards. This lot give cowboys a bad name.

These guys processed my credit card for £119 STG without my permission, does any one have their legal dept address i have been talking to them over over a month and they are not "obliged " to provide this information, they are total con artists.
