got a call at 10.15 pm! !!
when I asked the caller if he knew what the time was and if it is the same in India (he had a strong Indian accent) he said yes. He wanted to talk about my windows PC I told him not to be ridiculous, I had not asked him to call and there was nothing the matter with my PC. He hung up.

Received a call from a foreign lady at 9.15AM on my land line saying that I had a problem with my computer, said that i did not own a computer, she said a laptop? i said No, that we were dinosaurs ih our household and had no electronic equipment, and then realised I was talking to a dead phone, she had rung off...so did 1471 and got this number!!!

Have had four calls from this number, all scams about windows pc.
Told them number was registered with Phone Preference but they don't care and keep calling.
Number now saved on house phones as NOT TO BE ANSWERED.

Told me there was a problem with Windows on my pc - I said the window cleaner is here right now and my windows are sparkling. He hung up!

if the number is 01642 surely they are using a land line number being paid for to BT or similar
i cannot understand why these cannot be stopped.

Had this number call a few times. Most unwanted calls are from o/seas so thought this one might be different.
Won't bother to call back as I don't know the number. Could do with a phone with abt  100 blocking numbers.

Ridiculous attempt at trying to sell pc protection software - non anglo saxon caller, advised him that if his claim of knowing what was on my computer was true without me giving my permission, he was in breach of English law. Made no difference to this idiot

Computer virus scam.  These jokers have called me three days in a row, and persist in continuing to call after I have made it quite clear to them that I'm fully aware of the criminal nature of their activity.  The number is from the Tees area, but the caller speaks with a strong Asian accent, so I'm guessing that that this is a spoofed number.  I can't believe this scam is still doing the rounds after more than five years.

just missed another call from this number.  Previous call was at 1.22 am in the morning but nobody spoke.  I spoke to an Asian spoken guy last week who said he was from Microsoft advising that there was a problem with my computer and for £19.86 he could repair.  He wanted to take control of my computer and I knew there was something up.  Cut him off and now I'm getting calls daily.  The can't block scam calls.  What can I do to stop this guy phoning.

These characters use an IP phone connection to the UK telecom system - then dial out locally (here).
Considering the ease with which this could be stopped by the Indian or UK Telcos, one has to question whether corruption is in play here. Very annoying.

Not normally rude to callers but their continual persistence is so frustrating it feels so good to tell them to bugger off !!!

I had an Asian sounding gentleman called brian ring me from this number regarding a problem with my computer when i asked him whether he had heard of trading standards he hung up

Received a call on Saturday evening at 8.45 telling me that I had a security breach with my computer with Windows.  Asian man with a very heavy/thick accent.  I told him there was nothing wrong with my machine and put the phone down.

Got a call from them late at night i called the number back and it was blocked
