Said that he was from microsoft and that we had a laptop computer. I said we had NOT got a laptop computer (we haven't).He said his records showed that there WAS a computer at our address.

wanted to fix my computer, told the non anglo-saxon speaker that I couldn't hear clearly; put phone down; he called back a few minutes later. kept him on the line saying it was a bad connection.  Waste his money I say , keep them hanging on!!

They ring up and I answer say hello and they just hung up on me

I had a phone call at 10.59pm from 01642878714 on 9-06-2015. They said were phoning from micro-soft to let me know you have a virus on your PC. I told them to hold it right their this is a private phone number; do you really think that micro-soft would call all their customers it would cost them a fortune they would just have sent me an email, now stop pestering me.

Having had two calls yesterday (June 10th).  When they called today I answered and, sure enough, I got the spiel about having my computer hacked and they needed to fix the problem.  The Asian guy told me he was from Microsoft Technical Support.  Where did he get my phone number from?  Microsoft, says he.  Really, says I.  Impossible because MS don't have any details about me.  MS got my details from the credit card company, says he.  I knew he was lying through his teeth.  I went along with him until he asked me to run Event Viewer.  I Googled and found that this was a scam (which I knew already) but I told him that it was a scam and hung up.  The number they call from is spoofed so there is no way of knowing where they are based.  I suspect they are in India which is why they cannot be touched by TPS or ICO.  If they tell you that they know the product key for your computer, it's a lie.  The code they give you applies to all MS Windows 7 (and possibly other) operating systems.  The code is 888DCA60-FC0A-11CF-8F0F-00C04FD7D062

Said she was calling from Microsoft. Asked me how many Microsoft computers do you have in your house. Please tell me if you are on pc I will go through with you over the phone show you some changes needs to be done. I realise this was a scam caller.
She put her phone down soon as I replied we do have 3 microhard computers.

Received a call today 13th June at 12.48pm. He said his name was Austin (Asian guy) and that he was calling from Microsoft and that there was a problem with my computer and that he could sort it out. Just told him I didn't have a computer and hung up.

call claiming our pc had been hacked. Became aggressive when tackled about information source and background.

keep phoning us up, and nobody speaks, then line goes dead

Phoned me this morning, telling me they were from Microsoft.  I told him that I didn't believe him and put the phone down.  He then had the cheek to phone me straight back and ask why I hung up.! I told him I still didn't believe him and was ending the call.

Frequent calls during the day if I am home to notice - but I don't answer. Must try several times per week at the moment. Massively annoying but at least I know from this site who is calling.

Called several times in a week. Wanted to speak to main user, me. Started to talk about my computer. Asked him which one. He didn't know, so that hung up.He phoned again few seconds later and commented that as I had hung up he would cancel my Microsoft license. Asian accent.

This number called twice yesterday and again today. They claim they will cancel my Microsoft license, which will be tricky as I don't have one.

had a call from one of these people, i hung up and they called me back.

i told them that i am a manager at the microsoft branch and asked for his staff number.

they cut the phone off.. tried to ring them back but number not in use..

The name, you all wan is MICRO-SOFT.UK  and if MICRO-SOFT UK wan me look up and you have my number,you call me 15 time.

itoo am sick of these clowns i`ve tried all the polite ways quite a few rude ways none seem to work so i now have a whistle next to the phone as soon as they launch into their script i blow the whistle till they hang up

Received a call @ 12:57 today and noticed that the caller id was initially listed as international and then it came up as 01642878714 so the scammers are getting cute at coding in pseudo UK numbers, presumably in the hope of increasing the rate of pickup. I left it to go to the answerphone on the grounds that if they really wanted to contact us they would leave a message. No message left. Nowadays if the caller isn't on my list of stored numbers it is left to go to answerphone.
