got call today when I said hang on let me put your number into my search engine they hung up

Claimed that my windows computer was sending them error messages which were showing on their database. After he spend ages asking me to confirm my name, I told them I had a Mac computer and he hung up.

They rang me last night at 10.45pm ,I asked him if he knew what time it was and he said yes it's 10.45 will not say what my reply was .

Had a bizarre call from this Middlesbrough based number.it rang just three times then stopped .just as I was checking the number...another number not to bother answering then if and when they phone again  ..!!

Just drifting off to sleep last night 22:11 when the phone rang. Thought it may be an emergency with the parents, so answered and this Asian noddy starts talking about 'Tech Support'. I gave him an earful and hung up!

Very insistent call. My PC had been compromised.  And that if I went on to computer they could resolve situation. Very believable scam - beware.

Just got a call claiming they were from windows, advised I had a fatal error etc, put the phone down when I asked them to tell me the serial no for my PC etc which they would have, don't think thy are calling from the UK.

Told me from Microsoft Windows and that they had received error report.  Knew straight away they were lying, and told them so.  Very pushy and got agitated when I queried. I had a few moments free so went with them just to waste their time.  They threatened to report me to Windows and have me blacklisted - that would be great, if these crimimals would stop calling me.

Tried to ring number back <the number you have dialed has not been recognized>

I got a call from 01642878714 a man said he was from the Microsoft tech team and I had viruses on my computer.
I said I was not interested and hung up. He called back and said I had to turn my computer on. I hung up and used call barring.

Just had a 4th call from this number, very persistant, fed up telling them not interested, my computer has 'lots of serious viruses' apparently.  Obviously a scam.

I'm tired of these calls and they never give up and don't like it when you refuse to turn the computer on.

The number is allocated to Virgin Media Limited.       See if they can do anything to help stop the calls.

I get a call at least once a day from these jerks, i don't answer now, as in the past there was nobody on the other end. But tonight at 2230 is an all time low - no I didn't answer.

Thanks for all the info. Just got a call, I have caller display so didn't answer it. I don't fall for these, but I did write to my MP George Freeman (Con- Mid Norfolk) complaining about the lack of controls against cold calling, especially as I registered with the telephone preference service  months ago, but never got a reply.

keep getting these calls telling me they are from windows and want to fix my pc, so I give them my best Rolf Harris impressions then hang up

Same crap as all the other victims of these crap calls we all keep getting.
Let's hope "UKIP" with their intentions to get rid of the "PPI" calles that I'm sure we are all fed up with, will sort out all these other crap calls.

call from this number at 9pm - no one spoke they just stayed on line then they hung up...

Since the government promised to tackle cold-calling the problem has only got worse ! (multiple calls from Asian-sounding people with English names, purportedly from Windows Technical Support).

very aggressive man called claiming to be a computer expert and was going to help me with a hacking problem on my computer,when asked specific information (cause he knew so much) he got even more aggressive I eventually hung up cause he wanted access to my computer remotely, I have been registered for TPS for some years now so how did they get my number in the first place
