I have had 2 calls from this number; the first hung up before I got to the phone (11.00pm) the next this morning when I was told my computer had been hacked. I didn't wait for his explanation and told him it was rubbish and hung up.
Is there anywhere we can report this?

Unsurprisingly, they didn't leave a message. Blacklisted and barred.

Called my number and "Sharon" claimed to be calling me as part of Microsoft windows warning of threat regarding my PC that had been reported this week. This is a scam. These people will ask you to go into a certain directory of your PC where it will show lots of error messages. This is perfectly normal on a windows operating system, there is no issue. If in doubt, take your PC to a local shop to check.
I believe that they want to either sell you protection that you don't need, but I've also heard of them getting you to make changes which apparently give them control of your PC. The only way to get control back is to pay them.
I put "telemarketer" in the options below, as I couldn't find "fraud" as an option.
I strung her along for a few minutes, before I said that actually, I'm not at my PC, and she disconnected me, before I could tell her to "Feck Off".
I've logged them with ICO website, so if enough people report them, something might be done. Doubtful, as this is done from abroad, but maybe they can force the companies that allow them to use apparent UK numbers to stop doing so.

Can't believe these idiots just phoned , 10.30 at night. I only answered because I panicked thinking it could be an I'll parent. He said (in a strong Indian accent) " I am calling about your computer ma'am", I just said "no thank you" and hung up...wish I'd told him to go boil his head now. I am FURIOUS! Do they think we are bloody stupid? I couldn't understand him in the first instance when he said which company he was calling from...handy that!?

Asian voice, called this afternoon claiming problem reported from my computer. Total nonsense so said I haven't got one. Just hope they don't get my elderly father next time.

We had a call from this numbe todayr claiming to be from Government pensions wanting to give us money. He was very pushy and rude. i asked where he got fhe number from, he said its gov officd. I told him he had the wrong number, he said no he hasn't. i told him to not call again, then he said he would come to my house. I said I'd call the police if he did that but he kept on about coming to our home if we dont speak and said he's not a bad person! I had to put the phone down as he was very persistent.

received 4 calls yesterday and 1 today fed up

They just told me exactly the same thing, saying it had been hacked, although I could barely understand what the guy was saying. As soon as he said to go turn my computer on I hung up, sounded very dodgy, I wouldn't waste your time calling back. They're Cleary scammers, just ignore them.

I checked this number on this site, because the area code was Stockton on Tees, which is where I have relatives living. When it rang tonight at 22.45, I thought it might have been them (very similar number). I have told my wife not to answer that number, and thank goodness I didn't get to the phone in time.

Two calles from this number, one being at 0230hrs in the morning. No immediate speech so i put the phone down.

He knew my name and was calling from Microsoft about a problem with my PC. I had a feeling it was not Bill Gates as he sounded like an Asian gentleman. Then I got bored with the conversation; I was tempted to tell him to go away in short jerks, but just hit the call blocker button instead.

Had about 4 calls this last week claiming I had problems with my computer. Started to play along today but couldn't be bothered and told them to b***** off.

Had first call Wed 6th. May caller said she was from Windows & my computer was faulty. I said it wasn't.
Next call was on Thur 7th May man said he was from Microsoft Computers, I told him I was in the bath and didn't have my hearing aids in. He hung up. Code from caller is Middlesborough. Now number is blocked.

Said something about micro soft , I said they are scam and hung up

I was called today when i was having a problem with emails about outstanding invoices therefore my guard was down they talked about hacking and how someone could use the system for thier own uses before i knew it i helped them get into my computer and the person on the other end of phone started deleting my files he said he would stop if i would pay £99.00 to take up their security system therefore i just closed my system down some treasured photos are lost. Do not know what can be done. For in the past i have ignored this number.

"I'm calling from Windows Technical Department". I said "Goodbye" and hung up. Irritating scammer!
