got this call as well   twice on my house fone   and once on mobile      any ideas on how to stop it?

I have been receiving calls from this number. No one there when I answer. Is this some kind of scam?

How can I stop this telesales gang in Dublin calling my home phone number they call from 01 706 1200?

Had a missed call from that number on 16 th may at 20.39 left it ring out,seems to be a Dublin code??

Just a call from that number, a guy who sounded Irish or maybe English said he was calling from the "Market Research Bureau of Ireland and just wanted to conduct a survey about things like gender equality and politics. I hung up when he was reading something about all my answers being confidential etc. etc.

Answered a call from this Dublin number 01 7061200 about a survey on mobile phone use. I said I did not have time and was thanked and the girl hung up,

This is definitely NOT a scam. It is a market research company carrying out opinion polls and surveys. A lot of their polls can be found in the Irish Times, RTÉ news also use their data on a regular basis.

I was asked questions as part of a survey about banking in Ireland. Was asked to give marks out of 10! Anyone have a clue what this about?

Living in Ireland, this would be a Dublin number, tried to call back many, many MANY times but voicemail box is full. Am furious as am trying to deal with father's death in UK just now and thought was Embassy calling me back,

I rang MRBI and they confirmed that they use this number for outbound only.

Like many, when I get a missed call, I try and ring back. If the number is engaged, I try a few times. Then I do a Google on the number to find info if it genuine or scam. This led me to here and see others who are frustrated from this caller.
If MRBI had a simple voice service on this number to inform that this is MRBI Market Research, at least I could count myself lucky that I missed the call. With engaged tones, I waste time trying to get through in case it is an important call.

I would suggest everyone ring MRBI and let them know that they should have a voice service on this number to inform those that ring back.

It might be worth ringing a few times a day to remind them and ask them how they are getting on with this new voice service proposal, that way they might get an idea what it feels like getting calls like this :) :}
