Are you guys with Vodafone. I am and I suspect that's how they got my name and number. I answered one survey from them, gave them a pack of lies about running my own company, travelling abroad regularly, etc and I had about 20 calls from two different insurance companies a couple of weeks later. Didn't answer any of the insurance company calls so they obviously reported my number back to IPSOS who then rang me again this morning. Didn't answer... Ha ha

I think... in my opinion... Vodafone sold my number to IPSOS who rang me and profiled me from their qustions. ISPSOS then sell this viable customer to insurance companies or others who called me then complained to IPSOS when my number didn't pan out and IPSOS rang me again. That's how your personal information is traded these days. Nothing illegal. It's just how people trying to market services narrow down their calls.

I was expecting a call about a collage course all day so i answered it immediately...i don't have any bank details or anything like that on my phone because i only buy credit from shops every 3 weeks or sumthing but i knew something was up when i got a call about doing a survey from a company ive never heard of :/

This number has been ringing me almost daily for about 2 months now, I've answered about twice and they've asked me to do some survey or other but I never had the time, it's starting to really annoy me that they keep ringing me even after I've said no to their stupid surveys twice already. Is it some sort of scam and how did they get my number?

got a call from this number too a few days ago saying he was from the mrbi...told him i was busy & guess what i just got another call from same no a few mins ago.........not answering it :D

I've had a total of 2 calls over the weekend mannaged to answer the call today, they said it was "The Market Research Bureau of Ireland".... Just a survey about mobile phone/Internet provider...

This number rang me yesterday but hung uo before I could reply. They rang again today and I did answer. They immediately hung up. Very irritating behaviour, especially at a weekend.

I answered them today after about 2 month of ringing almost every day . . I knew it was market research as I rang back one of the times and got voice mail. So I avoided it until I accidently answered today. On a Sunday of all days!
I'm worried now reading all these posts  . Is it a scam or is it genuine?

same number didn't answer and looked it up and found this site, if your having probs go into the number and select block and you wont get another call
