Missed call from this number at 18:32 02/01/08.

The prefix is for Welwyn Garden City, but having seen that a number of people say it is Everest, this would make sense, as i had a quote from them last year.

Definitely Everest. I am registered with the TPS, and had a chat with a supervisor (Alex Libutti). I told her that in continuing to use a phone list that contained TPS registered numbers she was breaking the law, but she refused to cease doing so.

I have submitted a complaint to the TPS.

my No is TPS and they have phoned 3 times today alone

Got this with 'no one there' several times recently.
Saw the suggestion it was 'Everest' which could apply to my case, I am a former customer and there have been 'mailshots' from them recently.

Someone 'phoned as we were about to have dinner this evening so we let the 'phone ring expecting whoever it was to leave a message. No message and 1471 gave the number as 01707 873629. We rang back but the line was busy. 01707 is a place called Cuffley in Herts. We had an estimate for an Everest conservatory last year but didn't go ahead. Perhaps it was them wanting to try and sell us something else. We're also registered with the TPS.

Likewise I've had these calling for weeks having asked for a quote last June.

When they do answer (Everest), I invite their reps round for a quote and potential sale. When they knock at the door (3 visits so far) I either ignore them or greet them with "You've messed me about, so I'll mess you about" and send them packing. Best of all, you don't even leave the comfort of your own home.

If we all did this they might just change their sales strategy!

This number called me today, answered, took ages to reply, when i was putting phone down he said hello. Sounded like a essex / london accent in an office. google this number and this site popped up. I am registered with Telephone Preference Service - so why did i get this call?

This number called me today but left no message so I Googled it and  haven't returned the call. Glad I didn't if it is Everest! Sometimes these callers appear to hang up when you answer but BT explained to me it could be an automatic dialler and no-one realises you have answered.

We too have had this number call this morning, it rang for ages & when we managed to answer - thinking it must be an important call - the line went dead. I tried to call back & there was no answer............. Was going to try it again & smelled a rat. Came on here tapped in number and here I am..........:~

just got a call from this number, a woman, asked for the house owner by their name, I said they werent in and they quickly hung up.

This number called me today - this is the first time, but I didn't answer and they won't answer when I returned the call. Looked up number and found it on this site, so I expect it is someone trying to sell things. The number is registered to Potters Bar when I looked up on www.stdwizard.co.uk.

Also believe it's Everest Potters Bar HQ 01707 875 700 (in directory).  Phoned Mktg Dept & told them to delete tel no & address from their contact lists - which they did.

This is EVEREST, just took a call from them this morning.

.I always turn the tv down when i anwer the phone.If its a sales person i tell them theyve phoned a phone box.

We also asked Everest for a quote last year and didn't go with them.  Got a call this morning from this number and when I answered all I could here was a woman laughing in an office and then the line went dead.  Very annoying! All I can say is if this is the level of Everest's professionalism, thank god we didn't go ahead with the conservatory!

Called, and asked for a woman who no longer lives at my address, I told them that, they said sorry and hung up!

Had yet another call from this company tried to phone back no answer.

Got home to find that this number had called me at 19:54.  No message left.  I'm registered with the TPS, so if this number calls again I'll let them know.  If it's Everest, they can't be proud of what they're selling otherwise they'd leave a message!
