i am getting phone calls from this number they do not leave a message  i  do not know who they are how did they get my number they phoned today when i was in hospital haveing treatment for a illness  how do l stop them ringing my phone.

this is a number for advantis they are a debt collector

I get these calls at least twice a day. I spoke to them once but they wouldn't listen when i said I don't owe anyone any money as I have never taken out a loan. I just ignore it now or answer it and put it next to the TV so they get a loud blast of whatever is on. Wish they would stop though

Seems to be from advantis, a debt collection agency, who may also use different phone numbers.

I had a call from them and they refused to disclose who they are and what they do.  I have a TrueCall system, and I have added their number to my blocked list, so it will not ring any more.

Who is this company? Leaves message on answerphone to call 08448241830 to speak to an advisor but does not state who they are. Very strange

I aso received a call today from this number 01782401123 with automated message for me to speak to somone?? very strange as my number is very new and i havent gave it out to anyone!

i got a call this morning asking for a mrs smith, dunno who that is, never been a mrs smith at my address at least not in the last 10 years

I moved into my new home 10 days ago and recieved my home phone number, Then almost imediately I started getting at least 2 calls per day from 01782401123 (Which is really strange as only I have this number) after doing a bit of research online I have found out that they are a Telemarketing Debt Collector, who will ramdomly ring numbers stored on a database leaving automative messages, once you reply they ask for your name and home address and  run a credit check against you and your home,
DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR NAME OR ADDRESS
If they find an outstanding debt agiainst a household they will continue to pursue you for the debt (Until you prove your identity and disclose all your household occupants and details) They also pursue the householder for information on the previous owners, even if you do not know who they are.
The company is Advantis Debt Collection Agency (More like a god damn parasite or a dog with bone? once they get your number they won't let go!

Hey, if you have a phone that can take applications, you can download a call blocker. All you do is add the unwanted phone number, and they will be instantly rejected and you wont hear from them again. Debt places can be sly and have a few numbers, so make sure you add each number they use. Good luck :-)

We've had calls from this company looking for a J Walker, who to my knowledge has never lived here.
They are suppose to take our number off their files.

I've receive calls from this number and other. I've got different case: I've helped to resolve some problems with Virgin Media for person who's english is weak. I gave my number in case. And when that person stop paying the bills, they call me whats happened. Maybe Virgin gave some details to Debt collector?

Yep advantis send a letter then keep phoning you the same day wish some would get a life

its advatis they are pains they called me 6 times between 8:50am and 12:30pm (this is illegal) they have about 6 different numbers they call from including a 0845, 0844, 020 and even mobile numbers. When they call they just speak over you telling you your wrong you owe money, I dont answer my phone unless it's a number I know now. Sometimes my partner will answer ad tell them 'she not intrested' one day he said this over and over 12 times befor they stopped talking and said ok then hung up they are horrible, push, rude and aggresive

These people have called me daily for nearly ten months! Even after telling them I am currently paying off any debts I've had. They are rude bullies! They actually asked me if I was looking forward to prison food! I am unable to work as I have ME; when I asked them if they made a point of bullying the sick they said 'sick, elderly or stupid is no excuse, you have to pay us!'
I told these freaks they won't get a penny from me! As a last resort I told them I just bought the phone from Cash Converters and I wasn't whoever they wanted, they stated that I'd do, what was my name & address? I told them where to go ( none too politely )! They started calling again today, these people should be put on one of those tv investigation programmes!

I have had a call from this number but nobody spoke when I answered. I have an ex-directory number and I am registered with TPS, we NEVER give our landline number out to anyone (other than family and friends,) so would love to know where these people got my number from.
Apart from all that, any debts we may have had............. have all been dealt with.
