Very stern sounding woman rang at 0820. Asked for me by name which was totally mispelt. I siad who are Advantis and she kept on repeating "Is Mr. Mena there". When I said that there was no one of that name here, she hung up immediately.
Anoying!!

WHAT A JOKE!!! JUST GOT A NEW PHONE AND THEY RANG IT 4 TIMES IN 2 HOURS... I ENDED UP TELLING THE COMPANY TO RUN AND JUMP!! IN THE WORST POSSIBLE WAY I WON'T GIVE ANY DETAILS OF MYSELF EVEN THOUGH THEY KEPT ASKING.. THESE PEOPLE NEED REPORTING AS THEY ARE A PEST!!! OR A SCAM!!! DO NOT SPEAK TO THEM OR TELL THEM ANYTHING... I ALSO ADVISE I WILL REPORT THEM IF I GET 1 MORE CALL.  DODGEY!!!!

Tell them nothing as they are tring to steal your identity.

Had a few calls from 01782401123 but no one speaks, ive only just moved into my house and number is brand new plus is ex-directory so at min only myself and family have it. Very strange

Had all the same problems. TPS hopeless, call blocker and choose or use, did not stop them.

This number just called me, rang once and hung up. The number has now been added to my block list on a panasonic telephone and also the call blocker on my android mobile. They can ring all they like but they won't get through to me. ****wits!!

My mum has been called of these people and this time they left a message. "please can you call 01782401123 regarding a delivery we need to get to you" now as my mum gets everything sent to my house she knows she hasnt ordered anything recently. very very crafty people!!!

why am i getting this call

Thanks for the info, i do currently have debts that Advantis are chasing me for but I have a debt advisor who is helping me so I don't bother answering.

All phone numbers are recycled after 9 months so who ever had your number before may not have had it as exdirectory so will be on a data base.  Also if you shop online and add your phone number on that they get numbers from cookies on sites.

Wanted us to press one to speak to an addvisor or phone on an 0844 number hung up!!!!

I called back and said I didn't want to tell them my name, just that they were calling the wrong house because we don't owe any money.
The first lady I spoke to said that she couldn't look for me on the system because I wouldn't tell her my name. I tried to explain that I wasn't on their system, only my phone number so she hung up on me!!
I called back and spoke to a man, explained again and he told me the name of the woman they were looking for (not me). He promised I would not be called again. He asked my address to make sure they didn't send us any letters; I said I'd give the house-number (just 62) and he said that wasn't the address they had on file so we wouldn't get any letters either.
If you call them, just say they can have the number they have been calling and the number (but not street) of your address; don't take any chances of giving them anything they want!

KEPT GETTING CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER, BUT NEVER GOT TO THE PHONE BEFORE ANSWERPHONE PICKED IT UP, THEY PUT THE PHONE DOWN TILL TODAY; VERY AGGRESSIVE CALL WANTING TO SPEAK TO MY SON, REFUSING ALL INFORMATION THEIR SIDE AND WOULD CALL BACK "WHEN HE'S IN" SO I SAID YOU'LL HAVE TO GET PAST ME FIRST AND GET THE SAME ANSWER.

Just had this number call me and I missed the call thought I would call back as I am waiting for a important delivery called them back and mentioned they called 1st and the man asked for my name when I gave it to him he asked my maiden name I gave him that and he said I'm not who they are looking for and said they will take my number off file

I've just had exactly the same as you. I wish I had read all this first. I'm quite anxious about the post that says they will try to steal my identity.

every day this call cuming ....but no 1 speaks then automatically redialed

has the same area code as a number used by Impact Collections which is part of Vanquis

Its possible Advantis and Vanquis are connected somehow ?

it may be speculation
but the information is not incorrect or misleading
so why was it deleted previously ?????

have just got new number to stop sales calls and not given out and getting calls and texts from this number, have installed phone blocker on my mobile, thanks for advise

2nd call today getting so fedup with this, when I foned them back and said they must remove my number the woman kept asking for my name and  ref number, A) I have no ref number, B) I wouldn't give her my name, she then said she needed my name I said no way and if t hey didn't stop foning me I would follow them up for harrisment

I keep getting phone calls from this number leaving message for me to ring a 0844 number I ignore these calls as I do not owe any money.  Please can someone do something about these calls.
