This online tete a tete is most amusing. As a former psca employee I have read these posts with great interest. I'm guessing that no prospective client of psca is still reading this by now so I thought I'd have my twopenneth worth.
Most of what's written on here is true but govtoday your doing yourself no favours now as it looks like a your suffering from sour grapes although I do find your some of your more offensive comments really funny.
Gordon, I can't believe you didn't see this coming. You created the monster you now face. You had a 10 year head start on these boys and perhaps if you'd have tried to make psca a reputible media organisation instead of just milking the cash cow you wouldn't have to get involved in this slanging match. Maybe if you had treated all your staff with some respect you wouldn't have so many people sticking the knife in and making public how your company operates. No point in what ifs though, we are where we are.
I'm sure there's room for you both out there so come on fellas kiss and make up. I might as well invite govnet to this love in while I'm at it. Somehow I don't see this ending amicably.

We purchased some advertising form publicservice.co.uk and then came across this site. Feeling concerned, we rang in and attempted to cancel our order. We were told we could not cancel.

I am now aware that it our right to cancel any order within seven working days, and that we do not need to give a reason for cancelling - despite what we were told. I strongly advise any company who wish to cancel to be aware that publicservice will deliberatley try and mislead you about the cancellation procedure. Please also be aware that this seven day period is a basic right you have under English law and not an internal policy of theirs which they can use arbitrarily.

Cheats, liars and self-appointed enforcers.

Got any testimonials from people who got business from your services?

What is your cancellation policy please - just for clarity?

And is it proper to put new events up, such as outsourcing, with only ONE confirmed speaker but a host of other names who are merely invited? Could that not be construed as misleading? Why not put David Cameron, Barack Obama and The Dalai Lama up too? You could always send them an invite...

These are collected mostly from people who have written free of charge for your book. They are not quite as impressive as you think either - other public sector magazine's have testimonials from Prime Ministers, Cabinet Members et al.

Have you got any from businesses who swear that your products help them grow their profile and open doors in the public sector?

And what is your cancellation procedure? Can you confirm that a client can cancel their order within seven days of signing the contract without penalty and without needing an excuse?

So we can conclude for that you don't in fact have any testimonials from companies who have benefited from your services. After 12 years of trading that is a damning indictment of your effectiveness, and blows a huge hole in your so called 'credibility'.

And just to clarify things for you - anyone signing one of your contracts can cancel within seven days without needing to give an explanation or pay any penalty. In fact you can cancel by merely sending back the original form with the word 'CANCELLED' written across it.  

If you are going to come on here to debate some of the issues and concerns people have about your company then unless you do so in a full and frank manner then all you acheive is to heighten the concerns of potential clients and lend weight to the claims of those people who seek to denegrate you - and there are lots of peple who fit into that category.

I just had a call from 'Rebecca Wilkinson' from publicservice.co.uk - told her I'm not buying anything and hung up. This is the third time she's pestered us, she will not take no for an answers and is extremely rude. My advice is to cut it short and tell her you have no interest AND then hang up (she will try to keep you on the phone with any means).

Their sales manager 'Rebecca' called me - and it took over 30 mins to get her off the phone. They don't understand the meaning of the word 'no'. Unprofessional, irresponsible and down-right rude. I would rather throw myself off a cliff than deal with them. Publicservice.co.uk.
