- BeaCan somebody please tell me why this is a scam? I only searched for the company to find their number to call them about my insurance, then this site came up and has worried me! I payed the £45 admin fee and have had my documents, all seems fine?! I am very worried now and very, very confused!!
- ClareI had a phone call from this number today after taking out a contract phone with carphone warehouse with O2. This company has scammed me and has not taken only £45 but £400! Just as all the other people have commented a woman called first and already had most of my details, she knew my full name, when the contract was taken out the insurance policy I had applied for and told me that she was part of that company. After the phone call had finished I was immediately suspicious as it sounded too good to be true so I contacted my insurance company who advised me it was a scam. I called my bank straight away and cancelled my account but this company (if you can call them that) have taken £400.00 out of my account. My bank are currently looking into this but I dont hold any hopes of getting my money back.
Hi I am am Clare's friend and I want to give you all some advice as I work in a Fraud department
1. If it sounds too good to be true then that's because it is
2. If you receive a call from a company that company should only ask partial security questions
3. Don't be fooled when the caller advises that they know the 1st 6 digits of your card number, sort code and name of your bank, firstly the first 6 digits identifies which bank you are with and sort codes are generic for banks so they are giving you info that is widely known anyway.
4. Never give your bank details over the phone especially your 8 digit account number. If a company is legitimate they will not push for this info and will give you the option of paying by alternative means.
I would urge anyone who has had a bad experience with this company to spread the word, people should not be allowed to get away with this.- Caller: Real Estate International
- Claire WhiteI got a new contract with O2 and took out their insurance with it for an iphone.
They called saying they were the same company but were doing a special deal and would reduce the monthly insurance cost to half the price. They seemed to know a lot of my details but I got suspicious when they asked for my bank sort code.
I asked them to repeat which company they were calling from and they hung up.
I'd be happy to take out insurance with a cheaper company if they didn't have to LIE in order to dupe people into taking contracts with them! - m tannerget your bank to do a charge back on your account, that means the money they take off you is refunded, dirty [***], dont let them keep your money! doing some research they seem to have a property business aswell - very clever - filter money for fraud! report them to trading standards like whot I've done. they r based in swansea -scam capital if I didnt live so far away I would pay them a visit myself!

- shane lakedont give these people your details you will regrett it
- Chris59Ive just had the call, just like everyone else above, they knew all my details, and I was bombarded with a bunch of numbers and deals to dupe me into giving my details to them. BE AWARE, they claimed to be PremierPlan, the company I recieve my insurance from Phones4u. They all are Welsh, and will make it look as legitimate as possible, even transferring you to their "customer satisfaction" department after the call! Im ashamed to admitt I was stupid enough to give my details, despite normally being very vigillant about scams, as they were so convincing.
My advice is; Once you've figured out its a scam and read this do the following...
1) Call your bank and make them aware of the company "Real Estate International", if they have attempted to take the £45 lump sum and set the direct debit up, claim under your bank indemnity to block the direct debit and recoup them money. If your vigilant and notice the direct debit gone from your account, call before 4pm that day and the money will be blocked and paid back into your account.
2) call your actual mobile insurance company's fraud department and ask for a trading standards form to be sent to you.
3)keep watching out on Rogue Traders on TV, hopefully those fellas on a motorbike will track them down and stop them!! - CindyThese people have been calling me twice a day, every day for about a month now. It drives me so mad! The first time they rang, I answered and they had to ask me what phone contract I had and what I was paying for it. They asked me for my name and everything. I told them to leave me alone but since then they ring every day. I just hang up on them now.
- miss pI took a phone out with vodaphone at phones for you & had the same number call me up. They told me the original insurance company I had signed up with had changed their name & moved to a new company. They already had alot of my details & spun some good lies. I was a bit reluctant to confirm my bank details with them however, they were very good at convincing me that they were legitimate.
A few days later a letter came with their details so I thought nothing more about this until I cancelled my original direct debit & my original insurance company informs me that they have not in fact changed names or gone bankrupt.
They are so convincinng it is believable. They are Fsa registered , send letters but no policy packs & also have a website! However, if you investigate further you will find that the numbers they give ring out & the e-mail address is non-existent!
Do not trust or believe them. I am now in the process of trying to get my money back from my bank.
Take it from someone who has been scamed..if it sound too good to be true..it is!!- Caller: REIFS (real estate financial services)
- miss pout of interest who else took their phones out from phones for you?
Is it vodafone selling our names & details or is it phones for you?- Caller: Real estate financial services
- SimonI believe it is vodafone, but i could be wrong because people here say they took out contracts with o2. I took mine out with car phone warehouse & vodafone. I also have been scammed and feel like such a d!ck.
- SimonJust out of intrest, what town did people get there phone from? I got mine from romford
- bobbyGot a new contract from Phones4U, vodafone contract. Set up insurance in store and couple of days later received a call from Real Estate International (why doesn't the name sound like an insurance company ???) anyway, they got all my details from me as it was early morning and i was pretty sure they were a legit company offering insurance for my phone but at HALF the price Phones4U were charging. So after the call I phoned back after googling the number (should've done that before giving out details) found this site. I brought this up when I called them, saying that they had quite a bad rep on this site, he knew the site and claimed all/most posts were/are made by other insurance companies based nearby who are either scammers or jealous and want you as a customer. He gave me a site www.reiss.co.uk (which sells clothing) and another which doesn't exist www.reiss2u.co.uk :o I feel like such a loser :( I phoned the bank and set up some Idaware thing so i should know if they try anything with my money/credit. Need to cancel any direct debits they might be setting up. I figured phones4u would prefer me having their insurance as they get commission apparently.

- 2831ann25i have been conned by them and am taking the matter further, i gave info over the phone because they said they already had it in front of them stating some of the numbers on my card, cannot understand how they get so much information. this has made me sooo angry i will take this as far as i possibly can. so many people being taken for money they do not owe and the people on the other end are so belivable.
- 2831ann25i also took my phone out with phones 4 u, they were very good about it all and said `oldest trick in the book` how is this happening, our details must be available to just anyone.
- ChrisHad a call this morning from this number on my new contract phone I got from Carphone Warehouse, Didn't answer it because it wasn't a recognized number.
- AnnaI had a call from this company ( Real Estate International) the day after i had just bought a new Vodafone contract phone from the Carphone Warehouse. They claimed they would give me cheaper insurance by reducing my direct debit from £8.99 to £5.99 a month. DO NOT be fooled, they sound genuine but if you listen carefully they trip up on several things, for example they dont usually know who you have the contract with. The insurance Carphone Warehouse uses is GeekSquad insurance, and they do not contact their customers by telephone! I was stupid enough to give my details over the phone even after being suspicious throughout the entire phonecall. The cheek of it is they advised me to be careful of rogue insurers! My advice to anyone in the same situation, cancel your card straight away and block any exisiting direct debits of theirs. Ask your bank about identity awareness services and how you can check they are not using your details (such as name, address, DOB) to take out loans etc. It seems there is a recurring theme throughout these comments ( Vodaphone, o2, Carephone Warehouse and Phones 4 U). It is disgusting how these companies are freely giving our details away to these rogue businesses, i am a student and cannot imagine what would have happened if they had rinsed my account of my loan...so everyone who has had unfortunately had to experience this report it to the police, watchdog, rogue traders anything. IT IS A COMPLETE SCAM, DO NOT LISTEN TO ANY COMMENTS RECOMMENDING THEM, IT IS COMPLETE AND UTTER CON.

- CorbsThey rang me today and i gave them my details. I checked the FSA website and there on there, so i just hope they aint a scam.
They also told me to cancel my other insurance through my bank (that i had automatically from getting my phone from phones 4u - vodafone).
Does anyone know if this is real or not?
I rang him back up and he told me he knows about this site and told me to go on the FSA site, which they are registered. - Corbshttp://reifs.2u.co.uk that's there website by the way
