Missed these jokers thank goodness. So fed up with them and other companies calling for me or my wife. I am less that pleasant to them as they do not seem to understand simple questions or instructions. Please remove my number from your database? I bet everyone reading understands that. Simplez. Really lost it with another lot whi 1 were rude . 2 Couldn't speak English and 3. If you are going to use aliases use a name that is at least the same gender as you are.  I am a telwephone proffessional and I know the Ofcom regulations  so please do not argue.

    - A male with a welsh accent rang my mobile and asked for a Martin Keaton, I said he must have the wrong number and he then said, 'well, hang on sir, you might be interested in this I am calling from WE CLAIM YOU GAIN'.  I put the phone down and have reported them to TPS as this is clearly a marketing scam trying to get around the cold calling rules.

Just phoned them on my land line ( withheld my Tel No ) and asked them why they keep ringing my mobile No,( though I never answered it ) they said it was registered to a different person and that the data base they have could show the person who has had the No up to 12 years ago ! I also told them that both my Tel No's are registered with TPS  www.tpsonline.org.uk/  and that I would report them if they phoned me again I would report them. They said they had removed my No from there data base. Here's hoping

TPS, state as below, you do need to renew your details unless you move house, change phone provider !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do I need to renew my subscription with the TPS?
If you have registered a residential number or a number belonging to a sole trader or (except in Scotland) partnership, you do not need to renew. However, if you have registered a number on to the Corporate TPS belonging to a Limited company, Plc or other large organisation, you are required to renew annually. In this case TPS will send you an e-mail each year to notify you of this. Failure to renew will result in your number(s) being removed from the CTPS data file. Please be aware that if you change your telephone package, obtained broadband or change telephone line service provider for example, we may receive notice from your current/old line service provider that your line has been made inactive. In this case your number would be removed from the file as the service is only intended for live numbers.

Have fun by sending them abusive messages via their website. I just have. :o)

    http://www.wcuguk.com/ppi-claim-form.aspx

It won't achieve much (apart from a little self-satisfaction) but it will let the horrible specimens know how much they're despised.

TPS only covers you if you give out your details to someone after you have registered.

Chances are you applied for a loan with some form of broker company or a company that compares loan companies. What they do is probably charge you an admin fee then sell your details on.

If you have done this before you become TPS registered then they can call you. Otherwise than that any dialer system that they have filters out TPS registered numbers that were registered before you applied for finance.

Best thing is to call your line provider and block sales calls. TPS wont help now.

I have chimpansee on the answer phone,
When the tone goes they still ask if anyones here.

    Register with TPS?
I did, I was getting about 5 or 6 cold calls a week, registered with TPS no get at least 5 or 6 a day.

Phoned BT to complain all I was told was they can't stop them.

Not in BT's interest to stop these morons, they would lose revenue

Thinking of binning BT for another provider.
