I want these annoying intrusive calls to stop

Just had a call from this number (4.05pm), and we had to tell them a least three times we weren't interested, and then put the phone down. We have been getting ten to fifteen calls a day from these characters. I think I shall invest in a whistle, as one of the previous posters suggested,

When I get text messages I reply "If you continue texting and refuse to remove this number from your database, I will report your company to the police or financial ombudsman".
Usually stops the texts.
With cold callers, I ask them where they got my number from then ask them to remove my number from their database. If I recognise the number again, I ignore or end the call.
Simples!

Just had these buffoons call me from 'We Claim You Gain'....immediately told them I wasn't interested, and not to call this number again.  Bloke sounded Welsh so I told him to go s*** a sheep!  Then I put the phone down.

Suggest  anyone hassled by this caller use the link below to the e-petition to the government -- I have   and I have pasted it into an email sent to all my contacts asking them to subscribe to the petition and to forward the email and link to all their contacts.   If we all did this it could well go viral before the end date of the petition. I have been called on my Mobile by this number around 8 times in the last month I have
never been there at the time to answer  I have never at any time given my Mobile number
to anyone that I do not know, this makes me wonder where they got it from

I am sick to my back teeth of these callers.  Every single, blessed day, almost on the hour.  If it's not this one it's another one.  Registered on a number of sites that promise to filter these calls.  None seem to work, though.  I've stopped answering the phone, do call back and if it's actually someone genuine I call back.

Where the heck did our right to privacy go?

i wonder if this number sometimes shows as an international call, after having the most rudest
oriental sounding woman call who could hardly speak english, when i pointed it out to her that i
couldn't understand her, she slamed the phone down, then a few days later rang again asking for
somebody who dosen't live here, when i told her she had the wrong number she slammed the
phone down again, she rang again asking if i had paid payment protection insurance when i told her
i hadn't she rang off.  then she rang again asking if i had taken out a loan i then asked her what her
company was called she told me it was called GO SOLUTIONS, i told her i've never had a loan so
she rang back again yesterday told me she was called becky and then said her company was
called ECA [which is export credit agencies] so evidently she was lying about her companys name
after telling her again i have never taken out a loan, this number rings 01792 311560 with an
african man who said they were called we claim you gain and they were from the ministry of justice
he knew the town i lived in and said that a rep in my area could call and see me i told him it wasn't
necessary as i haven't paid ppi, he said i might have paid it without knowing, he asked if i had any
credit cards and if i owed alot on it, he then asked if i had a morgage and if i had a car, when i  told
him i hadn't, he said we haven't anything to go off and then rang off.  these could be spoofing their
caller id.

01792311560 keeps calling me on a daily basis when i pick up the phone and say hello they do not answer they put the phone down

The phone rang at 8.05am this morning - this same number AGAIN! They'll be calling in the middle of the night soon.

Thanks for that Steve.  This company called me and I booked a provisional appointment.  Should I not go through with it?  I had an Egg loan a long time ago and I cannot find my paperwork nor a site for them any longer.  Any advice anyone?

They are some scam outfit, claiming that you are owed money on a bank loan. They are so annoying, calling all the time when I am at work, even when I tell them to stop calling me they still do it!!!!
