My wife answered a call from these nuts but when I went to take the phone from her they hung up

We are exdirectory and this number rang who was it

I questioned him about where he got my number from. He said, "The electoral roll." That was a lie.
He immediately hung up.

well you should have had a lot more back if you made a  claim through a CMC then you would have had much more!!

All you have to do if they ring again is ring 1477 and that will stop them and report them to TCP.

I have just had a call from these pests who asked for my mother who sadly passed away 10 years ago! NOT what I wanted. Just hang up on them and DON'T answer their questions.
They should be banned.
By the way how do I barr their calls. they called me on my mobile.

Had a call from this number today offering to recover PPP.  I said I had never paid any and why were they ringing when I was registered with TPS.  He immediately said 'sorry to bother you' and hung up.

You might not mind being harassed by these people Rhian but others do! I have never had a loan so definitely do not need theirs services but do they listen !? Like hell they do & keep ringing! Do you or someone else close to you work for these people or something? Surely as well if people wanted this service they are quite capable of contacting these people off their own backs!?

i picked up the phone and the gentleman said is that Mrs ********** . I said yes and he put the phone down.  I was in the house all alone and this made me scared.  I closed the doors and windows, then phoned 1471 and their number came up so i decided to phone it they said they were sorry  but their recoods showed i could claim money, I told them i dont have any loans or anything like that. but they had my name and postcode already but will remove me from the list. I am on the pps list   After reading some of theise posts I wont hold my breath

They call me on my mobile (which is registered with TPS) asking for someone... have to tell them they have the wrong number. Strange how I also got another call earlier today from another number with the same random name - 08451113111

I've had two calls from this number, the first on 20th May at 10.36am and the second on the 31st at 2.45pm, both to my mobile... As I didn't recognise the number I let it ring both times...I've just read a reply on here that says it's a "No win, no fee" insurance company?? I have no idea where they got my number from as I certainly haven't contacted anyone like that!

Yet another call from this number - someone there until I give my name, then a cough and the phone goes down.

This number just called me and they are a company called we claim you gain and they are trying to claim back ppi insurance that was missold

Two calls today within an hour to my mobile number - no voicemail message - if they call again i will answer and report them to TPS as per sam's note above - 1477. Time wasters.

I think, when you get a call from such numbers, which you do not know, that mean the caller want to check if your number is still active as they bought it from othere sources, and so you will get a call from other numbers..

They have just called an unlisted private, business number again. Not even my boss has this number, as I use it for outgoing calls only. Only BT could have given this number to anyone, as I'm on the TPS service, or whatever it is, and BT put the line in. NUISANCE CALLERS. Can't we get these companies employees kneecapped? Or stopped at the very least?

They left loads of 'messages' (no-one talking, just background 'office' noise) locking my answering service.  Totally infuriating, especially when I have seriously ill relatives who then can't leave a message because it's full of these jokers.  I am amazed that looking at this thread, that this number has been used like this for so long.  Trouble is, you shut one number off, they just use another.  At least with services like whocallsme, if they use the same number, you know not to call them back.  Thanks for your posts everyone! - Sue
