are these guys for real?? just started pestering me (got my contract through Carphone warehouse so I guess that's where they got my number from)

even though I've told them 6 times I've got 8 months left on my contract and it's an iPhone, so I can only go with O2, it's not getting through....

They're like phone spam....

I'm getting this company calling me periodically! Happened just a moment ago... so I'm reporting it here yet again!

Just to add I'm an iPhone user and bought my phone at an O2 shop with insurance by them too (O2).

I just saw Chris's comment... I'm an iPhone user too, bought at an O2 shop with their insurance. I too have had periodic calls from a company/companies. They start by saying "you're paying £10 per month insurance, do you want to change to lower rates?" or something like that. I say "No, I'm not paying £10 per month for insurance", and then they hang up. I didn't answer today's call (from the above number), but I imagine it would have been the same thing.

I've been getting calls from 01792761030 for a couple of weeks now. They call at all times and about 4 times a day. Most of the time they hang up when I answer but today I actually talked to a guy called Darren and he told me they're from Splash Mobile and that he's calling about my mobile phone contract renewal (which isn't up until July 2009).
When I asked him where did he get my phone number he told me that he got it off of his screen. What a w****r. I asked him again and he hung up on me.
They are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo annoying and I wish they would stop calling me.

They keep calling and hanging up, they leave no message, I have rang them back to see who it is but you get put on hold.

02 are advising there customers to report these of ofcom.org.uk then finally the madenss can end! it takes about 2 mins to do, if we all do it we can beat these cowboys!

OK I know how some phone dialling things work
I used to work for about 1 week in a sALes job (NOT THIS COMPANY!!!)
And I quit because of ethical reasons
This company are probably using an auto dialler on their computer
which connects to you, and if you answer they will patch the phone to a sales agent on the floor if they are available
if all agents are already opn calls - the system will disconnect you

this is far more likely than o2 voda or phones 4 u selling your info to another company to sell a new mobile to you
they would want to do that themselves!

Aye, also to me, asked me if I wanted a new contract becuase mine was due to end; got me all confused i figured i'd be able to get an upgrade early! anyway they couldn't offer me a better deal than I currently had so they were like 'eh' and puy the phone down. Now they've just started calling back again, so I googled it and this came up, Cannot believe how many pages of posts there are.

Had a call from this number today. They identified themselves as splash mobile. For a bit of fun I told the person that I did not own a mobile (blatant lie as they called my mobile) and that I was on a land line. They then got very confused and checked my number saying that it was an 07 number which is a mobile. I told them that they are wrong and I was on a landline at which point they got very confused and hung up.
I need to think of a new story for next time now, might try talking in french...

Anyway, on Ofcom's site: http://ofcom.org.uk/complain/mobile/unwanted/sales/ there is a link to TPS where "individuals can register their wish not to receive unsolicited sales and marketing telephone calls. It is a legal requirement that companies do not make such calls to numbers registered on the TPS."

Calling me 3 times a day, never speak just hang up once i answer lol. bloody annoying

yes, i have also received these calls.....reading the above comments i think they call to ppl who hav recetly taken out an iphone. also they cut off the call after u pick within a couple of sec's.....i dont see d whole point ..... i dont think they r tryin to sell anythin....what i think is they r probably usin some innocent ppl's line n rippin them off.....

just had 3 calls from them in an hour!!! not impressed as i have just done a night shift, and i'm on call so i needd to have my mobile on!!

Refused to take call they ring me everyday!

A similar thing happened to me, but a different number called, as well as this one. I've just cancelled my contract with 02, so maybe they gave these companies my details. I just told them that I had cancelled my contract and didn't need another one and they left me alone :)

Just had another call from them, possibly the third is as many days. Very frustrating. Is just over 12 months since I started my contract, so no surprises why they're phoning.. Had multiple calls from companies like this last year trying to sell cheap insurance. Horrible people.

Best advise, if it's not a number you recognise and you get targeted like this then just er on the side of caution. Genuine callers will leave a message.

Splash Online - have pestered me all day until I answered. Told me my phone was up for renewal when it is not due for another 5 months?! When I told them this they said yes but we can reduce your monthly payments and get you a new phone. Told them not interested he laughed at me then hung up. How unbelievably rude!!!! Where have they got my details from as I always refuse to have my details passed on?? Stop calling me!!!!

we get your details from the mobile number fairy, she's a lovely lady who is very polite and helpful, and is always busy unlike you bunch of moaners and groaners. all you have to do is ask to have your number removed and it is never called again. simple as that

They phoned me a week ago.. Same really with contract ending but still have about 4 months left.. Said that wasn't interested but continued to talk. Phoned again but didn't answer as ran when in work. I think they must get it from everywhere cos I'm with O2. They tried to convert me to 3 and even though told them I'm happy with O2 they continued to hound me.
