- Paul Jall you have to do is ask to have your number removed and it is never called again. simple as that not hard and you are never called again as it is deleted as a never call number

AND
hey - i think this could be called a "tort" case in the states- Caller: idiots!
- PedroI started getting calls from this number after i went into an o2 shop and enquired about an iPhone, the assistane looked up my details to see when i could upgrade and it was from that day on that i started getting the phonecalls telling me my contract is up for renewal, even though it isn't!! So somewhere along the line o2 have passed my details on to them, NOT HAPPY. I guess your phone service providers have all done the same thing at some point. B***ARDS!!
- Caller: o2
- Lauren SquiresDidn't recognise the number, but I occasionally get business calls so answered it and they hung up on me. I found this highly irritating and called back, no one answered but its the second call I have got from this number. I'd like to know where they got my details from!!
- JJust got a call from them too - a terribly noisy incomprehensible conversation (that I maintained until i understood that they are NOT connected with o2) with a guy that just wouldn't go away despite telling him that i am not interested. Apparently he will call me back. oh joy! Thanks to this forum i now know that I can be less polite next time.
- Caller: Splash UK
- ShivangI have received many missed calls on my cell and landline.Buggers :(
When I called back on the same number, I get an automated response with some xxx company private limited. I was not able to hear the full name as the automated response was not clear. - NickI had some calls from these muppets, so far today I have called them 10 times from my work phone and hung up. Its quick and easy to do back to them, if enough people do it I'm sure it will at least annoy them :-)
- Caller: Splash Mobile
- Bobthink u need to get out more nick
- BobCalled twice today - first time I was on another call and asked them to wait a moment. They hung up. Second time I sent a busy tone. now, how do you bar a number?
- PauloI asked how they'd got my number; they said O2 had given it to them as I was coming to the end of my contract. I said
a) I gave no permissions to have my details forwarded ANYWHERE, so this was bollocks, and believe me I do keep an eye on these things
b) why on earth would they give my details to a competitor who was going to undercut them.
I kept on at b) for some time. Raising the pitch and fury of my voice (even after he quailed and said they'd take my number of their system) culminating in (to the delight of the open plan office around me) HOW STUPID DO YOU THINK I AM YOU WEASELLY LITTLE WELSH [***], NOW [***] OFFFFFF?- Caller: Splash
- SarahI just had a call from this number too claiming to be from Splash and also got a Welsh guy who was far too pushy for my liking. I am sure my contract is not up for quite a few months but he said that I am in my renewal period. I said that I wasn't interested and he had a go at me saying that there was nothing for me to not be interested in as he hadn't told me anything yet! I knew he was trying to sell me a phone contract though! He had an answer for everything and it really p'ed me off. I even said that I wouldn't want the offer he was trying to sell me as I have a 5MP camera on my phone and the one he was offering has a 3.2MP - he then said that the 5MP camera compresses all pictures to 3.2MP to save memory!!! I can't see that being entirely true to be honest.
He was very pushy and very rude and no way would I ever agree to a contract on the phone with a company I hadn't heard of (until I googled it and only found bad stories about it when I did find some information), with a rude man trying to sell it to me with a deal that sounds a bit dodgy and not seeing the terms and conditions. He must have thought I was stupid!- Caller: Splash
- KerryI am STILL getting these bloody stupid phone calls!!
I didn't have one for ages after i phoned o2 and complained about it.
That was about 2 weeks ago, and I have also registered with TPS (which is pants, cos when i tried to complain, it said i wasnt registered, then when i try and re register, it says im already registered!!)
Last phone call i got, i started to get really pissed off at the guy cos he was a cocky little [***]!!! he tried to say my contract was up for renewal (lies) i told him that wasnt true and to stop harrasing me with phone calls, he then said oh but you do realise your phone bill is overdue (lies) i told him again this wasnt true as a i have DD that comes out my account every month, then he starts gettin all wide when i basically told him he was an [***] and hung up on him!!
Its getting beyond a joke now, im getting calls every day near enough!!- Caller: Splash
- littleIdiotSo does this web site (whocallsme.com) give any useful information as to how to stop this happening? Any one any ideas? I've had several calls form these guys over the past couple of months - same old story as everyone else.
- KerryWell, I still need to phone TPS, because they are saying I am not registerd with them, when I am, but I have not had any calls today...so far!
- Paul Jall you have to do is ask to have your number removed and it is never called again. simple as that not hard and you are never called again as it is deleted as a never call number
- jamiejust called wantint to offer a cheaqper contract and free upgrade
- rachthere are many ways that they get your number the easiest way is that other phone companies sell data records to 3rd parties, the only network that doesnt do it as far as im aware is 02.
and its not just networks, any time you have written your details down inc mobile number these can get passed on, insurance, your bank, competitions etc also stores know when you took out your contract and when your number was generated and as they are done in numerical order all they need to find out is if a number that may start 07515342163 started 18 months ago then they have computers that will dial about a hundred different variations of that number knowing all those people took the contract out at the same time,
and the reason i know this is true is i used to be one of those annoying people cold calling you!
