- On-the-lookout-for-new-scams replies to cumjI have been contacted by them and told the same thing. Whatever they say do not buy any MORE credits to enable you to sell, and be very careful if they do offer to sell as they talked about transferring them to their account in Hong Kong before selling which doesn't sound correct to me. Did they explain the process clearly to you? Or they may sell one lot for you and say they have shown you a profit so invest more with them....and you will lose it of course. Look further back through the postings for comments on this company.
- veroscam@btinternet.comLONDON, Dec 13 (Reuters Point Carbon) – Britain’s financial watchdog is soliciting feedback from people that have invested in carbon credits as it widens an ongoing investigation into firms using “dubious, high-pressure” tactics to defraud vulnerable consumers.
The Financial Services Authority has launched an online survey for private investors that have been coerced into buying credits in the unregulated voluntary carbon market to determine how many have profited and how many have been swindled.
"We are concerned that callers promoting investments in carbon credits are using dubious, high-pressure sales tactics and targeting vulnerable consumers," the FSA said on its website.
Jonathan Phelan, head of unauthorised business at the FSA, told Reuters Point Carbon "we continue to have deep misgivings about carbon credits and have yet to see any convincing evidence that investors can make money from investing in them.”
The FSA has launched enquiries into 155 firms suspected of pressuring investors into buying near-worthless voluntary CO2 offsets, a scam that some experts value in the millions of pounds.
Of those, it has placed 26 on its warning list, which names firms and individuals that are unauthorised to offer financial services.
British courts have wound up several carbon credit companies this year that authorities said were misleading investors by guaranteeing annual returns, often through glossy marketing brochures, of 20 percent or more.
Last week, 11 people were arrested on suspicion of defrauding investors and laundering money through the voluntary carbon market following a major City of London police operation.
The suspects were not named, but the police said they were linked to “fraudulent” carbon credit companies including CT Carbon, which is on the FSA warning list. - anominous replies to elford| 4 repliesIf we know who they are, and where they are, then I suggest we get together and hire professional hit men to take them out for good !!!
- Jenny| 10 repliesI have been contacted by Clark Carbon Capital, they sound good but I am worried about the above comment. Any further information regarding them. My call came from Switzerland
- dont do it| 1 replythey have already arrested 11 people in conection with carbon credits so why would anybody be interested in getting involved in any of this and why dont they release there names why protect the thieves? they use so many alias that no one knows exactly who they are just from a few sites they same names always come up but with different endings or spellings lets just learn from our mistakes and move on i really cant see the point anymore.
- On-the-lookout-for-new-scams replies to JennyDo not "invest" with this company. If they do a runner how will you ever know where to go to get it sorted or to sue them? Offer to do the deal through solicitors and see what the reaction is. You should ask who their company solicitor is and check them out - if they ever give you a name. If you are looking to buy carbon credits they have to be held on an fsa registered custodian account or of course you need your own account on a main registry which isn't so simple. If you really feel you want to do this go to a solicitor first and ask what they think.
- On-the-lookout-for-new-scams replies to dont do itThe point is to put postings up to warn others who may be doing their due diligence. We can't stop what has already happened but we can try to stop future scams where possible.

Not a lot they can do abut it. Sue, I don't think so.
Send your emails etc to the Police.
P.s. If you really want to give your money away, I could use it.
I will even give you a worthless certificate for your carbon credits.
How many do you want? - recovery_scam_look_out replies to veroscam@btinternet.com| 3 repliesHi everyone - has anyone come across www.carbon-expert.com ? They advertise on google asking if you have unwanted credits to sell. Feedback from people who are dealing with them would be helpful before talking to them.
- veroscam@btinternet.com replies to recovery_scam_look_out| 2 repliesReal carbon credits are readily available at less than 30p each so I don't know why they would bother to chase you for a few credits. It will be interesting to know how much they offer if you have any. Most of us who have been scammed had only virtual credits of which I have thousands to sell if they want to make me an offer.
I suspect that if you respond then you will be targeted for more scam sales.
Look at 02031375480 on this site for some people already pestered by this company. - recovery_scam_look_out replies to veroscam@btinternet.com| 1 replyThanks but I am looking for feedback from people who have spoken to or dealt with Carbon Expert at all. Whilst a healthy dose of scepticism is fine one needs do proper due diligence. I will be the first to say if I find they are up to no good.
- Bob replies to JennyListen to your instincts and not your greed and you'll be fine. I have yet to come across a carbon trading firm that hasn't been a ponzi scheme or a trouser and leg it outfit

Web: www.carbon-expert.com - frying_pan_to_fire replies to Facts| 5 repliesAnyone bought via New Frontier Advisory? http://newfrontieradvisory.com/ Apparently they are passing purchasers of credits and rare earth metals to http://www.hennesseyassociates.com for exit. Anyone know anything about this?
- Hugo Thicko-Smyth replies to frying_pan_to_fireWell I think they have to be decent chaps with a posh name like Hennessey. Was it Swiss Tony, Romford Steve or Greek Harry on the blower? Good price for credit-card numbers, rare garden soils & carbon paper?
- Chris replies to Spode| 1 replyI have VERs, it is my understanding that the CER market has suffered a crash in prices due to an over supply and under supply issue. I dont think that anyone will make money just yet and anyone that expects to has not understood the market. I think the idea is that you hold on to the holdings for at least a few years whilst the market matures. Unfortunately some people are perhaps being guaranteed unrealistic exits with promised returns and I think that is where the problem stems with some 'companies'
