Hello .....
My sincere apologies for us not being able to reply to your calls, we are at present, due to continued expansion upgrading all our back of house systems, this unfortunately has caused a backlog in customer records being updated, also internal phone lines have been affected. We expect business to be "back to normal" within the next 48 hrs when you will be contacted by one of our representatives, sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Kind Regards

Accounts Manager - Luke replies to LukeMy reply:
I'll see you in jail soon.Police are closing in on you and your pals.I don't care about money any more than i wish to see you et al behind bars - Alan replies to PeteHave rased CRN today as well, spoke to girl in reception at the business address, got Julie's mobile number from her without asking for it, she has to be getting a bit annoyed with all the calls for Oxford Sunergy. Julie's mobile just gets her voice mail. Will now look at the online petition.
- Nan| 4 repliesThey are obviously aware of this site as there are a large number of positive posts on the first couple of pages. People do not come on sites like this with positive posts unless they are part of the fraud. They were clever in the way they posted by pretending to be unsure at first and then convinced. Gary and C Murphy were particularly good at keeping the scam going. I am so glad I was not fooled, but it would have been easy to fall for their patter.
- Caller: Oxford Sunergy
- Mark C replies to LukeI too have received an email this afternoon
"Hello Mark,
Just a quick update, our back of house overhaul has now almost been completed, it has taken a little longer than anticipated, but we expect business as usual within the next 48 hrs, at which time your broker will be in contact with you.
Kind Regards
Hannah Jackson"
Are these people for real!!!!!!! - David N replies to Luke| 2 repliesI tried to contact the City Police in regards to Vero Energy but got the run around back to Action Fraud.
What number did you call so I can try again? - Luke replies to David N| 1 replyyou should first raise a CRN through action fraud and then talk to them in asking progress on case.no. is 020 7601 2222.ask them to put you forward to fraud department
- naive nick| 3 repliesPhoned NatWest today and told them about the fraudulent activity going on in one of their accounts. Gave them details and they said they'd take a look and take appropriate action. Sweet FA then. They couldn't give me any info and I don't expect it will be dealt with in an urgent manner.
Also tried phoning CoL Police but kept getting answerphone as all lines were busy. Left a message, will try again tomorrow. Am I naive in thinking that if we keep hassling people something might actually get done??
I get the feeling that OSL have been rumbled earlier than they would have liked as they seem to be desperately trying to give themselves more time to get away. I hope it's giving them sleepless nights.- Caller: Oxford Sunergy Ltd
- David N replies to LukeI reported Vero Energy on 2nd August and have update the report 5 times since and at each time specifically asked to be contacted by the Police but nothing has happened. Action Fraud even told me that they treat me as if I could be one of the scammers and so will not reveal anything. I would like to know that my report is being actioned and that evidence that I know is available about the crooks is being collected before it disappears.
I talked to the office manager in Canary Wharf about the scammers just after they disappeared and in fact convinced him that they had done a runner. He would have vital information about who set up the operation and also cctv footage of those who visited the office. It is essential that the latter be collected before being wiped. I told ActionFraud.
I have investigated some of the trails for the setup of the companies through Companies house etc. but the important information is not available to me but is to the Police. Bank records / telephone included. I also found an Irish connection.
I added OSL to my report about 3 weeks ago in the hope that the fraud squad would get after an active scam.
I am now on the look out for the next setup.
This group likes to take over an existing company with a likely name but a poor trade record so the owners ar willing to sell out. The earlier I spot them the better. I have 16 companies on my list. Analysis of the setup of these should reveal the culprits. - Luke replies to naive nick| 2 repliesNick next time when you call NatWest ask them to put you through to the corporate fraud department.its where you might get heard.also warn them that this matter is under investigation by police.send them the transactions via email .they are then bound to take action and review OSL accounts.
CoL police fraud dept are available mostly during working hours.
the more people report and keep updating CRNs the more police will be obliged to intensify efforts and put more resources.i'll not sit idle until they get caught.A fraud of this scale is surely being investigated by full force and i have confidence with our continuous push the criminals will be brought to justice soon.
A failure on our part will only embolden them in further criminal practice and they will ruin many more lives so its more of a moral issue now for us to keep stepping up - Luke replies to Luke| 1 replyI'll give police 2 more days before escalating the issue to higher levels eg Met chief ,Local MP ,media outlets etc. Also thinking about ways to get more people to sign the fraud compensation petition
- David N replies to LukeJust spoke to Emma at the National Fraud Investigation Bureau and just got blah blah blah.
No specific action to any one report. Information being collated etc.
Don't wait for escalation do it now. I've already contacted my MP.
Better yet, get some mates and head round to OSL and make a citizens arrest on anyone there and frog march to local police HQ.
Good luck. - Gary replies to Nan| 2 repliesExcuse me you thoughtless idiot I think you will find I was the first to start questioning this business for what it may be. I was the first to raise a CRN I was the first to pop into their office I was the first to assist this via other postal headings .
I think you best apologies?
I appear to be fortunate inthat I got my money back.
I hope you all do. - Mark C| 5 repliesJust thought I would let everyone know that I have just spoken to a James Parker, a colleague of Christopher James, who informs me that CJ is in the office & is going to be calling all his client shortly.
Can I believe it??? Who knows but I'll keep you informed - Alan replies to Mark CHad an email this morning from OSL, same as others have received, problems almost sorted, will hear from someone within 24 hours. Very hard to believe.
Spoke to a lady at CoL will only accept info from me through the Action fraud site, which I have already done.
Won't tell me anything, not knowing what is happening is very annoying.
Will let you know if I get a call. - N N replies to Mark C| 2 repliesMark C, when you spoke to "James" did you say that they were being investigated for fraud and the best thing to do would be to give all our money back? I would love the opportunity to speak to one of these guys to see how they respond to the accusations. Can't believe they are still trying to keep it going. Like I said, I think they have been rumbled earlier than expected. I really think the banks should have some liability for making it too easy for these crooks to set up and close accounts.
I have signed the petition Luke but there doesn't seem to be many people on it so far. I guess if you haven't been a victim then it's not at the top of your list of petitions to sign. Something has to change though and I think a lot of the change should come from the banks. The police can't cope with it all - N N replies to Mark CMark C, also, did you phone them or they you?
I have had no contact from them whatsoever since Monday last week and that just said Chris would phone me tomorrow (last Tuesday) - previous investor replies to N N| 1 replyHi FYI I did tell them I was phoning the police several weeks ago after continued delays in selling me out of my last trade.
They become very aggressive in tone and hung up on me during on of the calls.
They called me back and said they had been granted permission to exit the trade earlier and that payment would be within the next day. They asked whether i was still intending to call the police, i said i'd leave that to my own discretion. Final payment was several days later.
Final payment exceeded 10K.
The worrying thing was that the payments came in instalments of 10K or less.
Bank transfer Payments of 10K or less avoid automated bank money laundering triggers that highlight such transactions at a higher level.
Has anyone received a single payment of greater than 10K?
Best wishes to those who remain anxious - N N replies to previous investorYep, they were caught out before they were ready I'm sure of it. Well done on getting money back, I'd be so happy if I even got half back now. I'm starting to lose faith that these guys will be caught, there doesn't seem to be any urgency with the banks or police. The fact that nothing has been done about the vero energy scam isn't promising. Nevertheless we need to battle on and try everything in our power. I can't stand the thought of them being able to do this again to another group of people
- Alan| 2 repliesHad a call just now from OSL, Gareth Jones - never heard of him before, did sound a bit like Chris James. He claimed that the original buyer backed out and this is the reason for the delays. Doesn't account for non- response to all phone calls and emails.
He has said that in 10 to 15 working days he will have a new buyer, we will have our money and we will never have to deal with or have contact with them again. Sounds perfect - if only.
He was very annoyed to have been 'threatened' by our email, which merely pointed out what we felt was the situation and what we felt compelled to do about it. Interesting - certainly caused a response. He wasn't happy.
He said he would be happy to receive calls from the police or anyone else. His number - which he seemed to think he would be answering - is 01865 920 477 - a number that we have all rung many times. In fact last time I spoke to Chris James he said it was HIS number, and we could reach him on it - interesting.
Just sounds like another delaying tactic to me.
Does anyone else have any updates?
