This seems to be a generic number for any Skype-out calls made by people who have not attached a specific number to their Skype account. So it is used by both scammers and ordinary people. I just had a call identified as this number which turned out to be a friend in Tokyo calling me in Hungary via Skype. If you block the number, you run the danger of missing genuine calls from people who use Skype.

GETTING THIS CALL SEVERAL TIMES A DAY USUALLY NO ANSWER BUT OCCASIONALLY  A FOREIGN (ASIAN) VOICE ASKING FOR THE HEAD OF THE HOUSE. HE IS ALWAYS OUT!!

Had a call from this number. Saying I had computer virus and they were microsoft support call centre. Advised them that they were a bunch of cowboys as I had an apple mac and hung up.

The next day had a call from 0161 3810070 also saying they were a microsoft support call centre in Manchester area. Calling to say that my computer had computer viruses and it was destoying my hard drive. I hung up.

These 2 numbers seem to be linked to each other and seem to be the same group of fraudsters.

how can this number 02030513739 no my home phone number and tell me he was from windows and i had a error on my computer,and to turn my computer on and he will tell me what to do.How can i stop this as it has frightened me.

they phoned me 4 times today, telling me they had tracked a virus on my computer and needed to remove it because it would get my bank details ..blah blah. I phoned my isp who told me it was  a scam. I was a bit slow picking up on that. He wanted to me to install remote software to access my computer. I refused..thankfully.

Did not recognise the number so did not answer - they did not leave a message - when called the number back got automated message saying number was not valid and was probably calling from abroad - scam

Guy called about my recent accident and I was due a claim of between 2 and 3,000 pounds.
He wanted to confirm that I had a shunt from behind and it wasnt my fault.
I played along and confirmed this.
When was it?
2009.
Thats correct, he said, thats what our records show.
Having confirmed the details he wanted to put me through to a colleague.
I said ok, and hung up.
He rang back a few minutes later.
I said I was sorry, it wasnt 2009, it was 2010 and it was my fault and I was struck off from driving for 25 years and I am currently in HM Prison Strangways. I wanted to know how he managed to get my privatge telephone number at Strangeways. He said he would call back later...

When you do a 1471 on that number, you get a nice lady from BT saying that the number is in breach of regualtions and the call may be diverted out of the UK.

Beaware, you might even get charged ...

Don't you just love it?  Looks like the computer virus scam isn't working, so now its the accident claim scam.  I wonder what will be next!

Got a call from this number last night. Foreign accent possibly indian claimed to be 'Microsoft' and said I had problems with my computer so I must download some software to solve it. I instantly knew this was a scam as microsoft will never phone anyone like this, I had also read about the scam in the papers and heard from word of mouth. I told the guy that I knew he was speaking 'bullsh**' he then started shouting a torrent of abuse down the phone. Please beware of this scam and tell your friends and family the same. I feel sorry for poor pensioners for example who may get drawn into this and end up lining these scumbags coffers.

My friend from Slovakia missed the call. She asked me about the number (I live in the UK), tried to call it no answer, went on the net. Thanks for all your messages!

This is SKYPE's number. It's someone trying to contact you from there.

Hi just checked my mobile phone here in Portugal and saw this number...as I've applied to some jobs internationally, I thought it could an employer and googled who. I found this page and thankfully I've missed the call...not answering if it calls again.

It is really one of skype numbers. I often got normal calls from the UK with this number.

Just got a call from this number. He knew my name & address and said he was from Microsoft technical support and they had been receiving numberous error reports from my computer.
When I said I had no idea who he was and I would call him back he hung up.  Sounded asian.

My Dad had a call from this number in Croatia. And definitely nobody called him from Skype! Thank you so much for all this messages.

iv just had a phone call from this number on my mobile, a woman started to talk, and i just said, i can not talk ,im driveing, which i was not, but it seam to have done the trick, the phonr went dead.

had a call from the above number, called back and it said call can not be connected and it could be from out of UK.

silent caller, I was gonna call them back but having read through these pages I don't think I'll bother.
