This number calls and only rings for 2 secs, then rings off.  Everytime I block one of these numbers another one seems to spring up.

Also in NL, got a call w no message today from this number (out of the UK)

called offering to help me with my debt - apparently I have big money problems which they can sort out -

This damn number is from an internet phone app for mobile/cell devices my friend prank called me from america using it it generates a different number from the actual number of the mobile/cell so u can't call it back! Thank you

Got a missed call to my mobile from this number. Just called my brother to see if he had called from Skype. He had.

when my daughter calls from uk this number is shown on my phone istead of her number why is this

Caller wanted to know if I was responsible for the energy supply to my house. I told him I was not interested but he prattled on - I then put the phone down. Almost certainly a scam as he has changed the company he represents! According to the posts above this number was for the Microsoft Helpdesk!!

got a call from this number yesterday!

Before they launched into their spiel I told them it was an unsolicited call and that I was putting my 'phone down!

Got another call again today, but the 'phone went dead by the time we picked it up! They are persistent!

They have just called me and asked me if I receive sky through a satellite dish.  When I said no and asked where they got my number from they just hung up.

I keep getting a call from this number, i just ignore it, I'm sure they will get the message!

Initially silent suggesting call centre software is being used.

The caller asked for me by name and then said "Ministry of Justice here"

I saw that the call came from outside the UK and told him to **** off.

This number keeps calling me for more than a week each  dat at the Same time???

I got a flurry of calls yesterday to my Dubai mobile on this and 2 other numbers - I called this one back and a lady on the phone said she was at the "Ministry of Health" and had no idea anyone had called me. Sounds dodgy.....

The number is generated (one of a range of numbers) by Skype.
If you have a skype service with call forwarding enabled, someone trying to call you will be identified by this number or similar (from the UK).

so it seems that you use Skype ?

hope that helps. it took me a while to find out. the hang up happened when I answered skype on the PC

just had a call from this number, relating to a road traffic accident i had in 2011, they claimed solicitors had passed my details to them as i was due £10000 compensation. obviously i realised it was a load of pants, but what i was more concerned about was how they knew my name and that i was in a car accident and also how they attained my phone number. when i quizzed the caller they rabbled some nonsense about road traffic authorities. i attempted to phone the number back, and it suprisingly didnt ring, however it did go on to an automated message which said this number has been discontiued due to breach of term and conditions.
