I too got the call from this number and i paid 300 pounds as well . can you please help me how can i recover my money?

I got the same call from the same number. One of my friend got cheated by these bunch of people. I wish to help him and I want to know one information from you guys. What network provider is your SIM from?.. Was it lyca mobile?

Got the same call today. From the same number Shiva mentioned. Claiming to be from the UKBA office. Thye had my full address and also claimed to have my passport number. As I put the phone on the speaker, the caller could not hear me clearly and thought I had hung up. He started abusing continuously and was talking about the next person on the list to call (obviously he thought I had hung up) and the call disconnected. This scam is terrifying.
There may be so many innocent internantionals students (and others) falling prey to this scam. Spread the word please, so that there are no more vctims.

i got the same call today as well.. please stay away from all such calls. they have nothing to do with UKBA.. just a bunch of ppl trying to rob us.

the pppl who are callling from this number are really robbing innocent ppl ... especially international students who might panic and give in to their threat . I got a call from this number and it scared me a lot and would hve given in to their prank but i was saved thanks to my mum and dad and a friend .

I received a call from this number today 30 july 2012 at approx 15:15. I was in a very important job interview and I had to cancel my interview because of this call. There were three people who communicated with me, first Brian Smith with emp id RM2005 who told me about the 2 letters and no response and which forced them to decide to detain me in 24 hours from UK. I went crazy, my BP was high and I had to spend extra money to travel home to get my visa to tell him the cisi number. I dont know what the f number it is? which I did not mention on arrival to the uk at the airport as per him. When I reached home and called him to give this cisi number on my visa, some one on the phone said to me that he will call back. I disconnected, and he called back then put my call on hold to get Brian on phone, now Brian takes my visa cisi number and tells me about the penalty fees that I must pay to the British high commission in New Delhi through western union. He then transfers the call to Shawn Marshall (GPS officer who was guiding me to nearest western union), I started thinking now very carefully and started posing questions indirectly to collect more information from them. I asked them the address to which I must send the money. But he was constantly putting effort on leading me to western union and pay immediately. I still kept on asking him about the address and name of receiver. Finally when he got tired he gave me the address as Chanakya Puri, New Delhi, 110021. This address belongs to British high commission in New Delhi in India which was correct. But this f man calls from UK number to ask me to send money to other country. Ok I ask him receiver name, he takes time to answer and again repeats saying ''go to the western union and I will guide you to fill the form'' where he will tell all details. I ask him 'why are you not giving me the receivers name now?' then after some time of repeated question and answers he finally said Lalita Sharma as the receiver.  And the amount is £500. Now he says go to the western union and don't disconnect till the transaction is over. I wanted to go the police station in Barking to investigate this issue which was near from me and I cannot keep the line connected to him as he will understand so I told him look I am not carrying money and I have to go the bank first to collect money and then I will call you back. He said 'no, don't disconnect or the call will be lost and this is being recorded so we cannot disconnect'. I told him, look my battery is also low and I must be left with some charge on battery to communicate with you and I disconnected saying ok I will call you back. he again called me and said 'you disconnected, do you know how important this call is?' I said, ' ya, don't worry, I'll call back.' and disconnected again. This time I was already in Police station, but there was a queue. So, I called the UK border agency on 08706067766 immediately. This call costed me more then £5 as there was no body picking my call and I was just hearing the recorded message every time. Finally some person picked the call, I explained every thing to him. He confirmed to me that this looks fraud and don't give any information or make any payment. I gave this callers number to him. He also told me to contact the police and call the local immigration office on 02072383965. Then I went to the police station again and I spoke to the officer, but he was not really cooperative or interested in my issue. I still told him that those people know my address, passport number, expiry date, visa number, phone number, and also when and how many times I traveled to and from UK and from which airports. I told the officer these people might come to my house as Legal officers and take me with my luggage and just vanish me some where or kidnap me. Then the officer said to me, in such a case just dial 911 and even if you hang up we will arrive at your place. And he asked me to call local immigration office for more details. Then I called the local immigration office, one lady picked the call and within 20 seconds she disconnected without even hearing my entire issue as if I was wasting her time. I called again, no answer. Again I called and this time some lady answered my issue saying 'some body must be making fun' and that they never make such calls. What she said was totally confusing but I figured out that I have nothing to worry about. But still I was worried because the callers were trained British English speakers. One had accurate British accent, other had mix of Philippine and american accent, and the third had also British Accent. And last but not the least, when I searched on google about this number, I really got a relief because I am not the only one who faced this situation.

People cant be trusted, they might really come in as a group of officers with fake uniform or fake ids and take me some where and keep me hostage for financial benefits either from my family or anybody, they might even sell my organs for needy dying people, or they might brain wash me and use me as a criminal or terrorist. Who knows, who these people are? Police must be very serious about this issue and find out these people.

Even i got a call from them saying u will be deported and u have to go back to ur country within 24 hours and update it....!!!!! Being so stupid i gave them my passport details but tension is they had my passport number....but when they ask me to send money throgh western union i clicked it and told them i dont have money only.... Luckily saved ...!!! I have reported it to international office and police ... Its a proper scam

I also got the call from same number today morning. Unfortunately I made a payment of 200 GBP to these fraudster. I have informed the University authority as well as the police. I hope the British police will look into to the matter and take some serious action against these callers.

I just got a call from this number. They asked me to pay £275. I asked them to call me back. I informed this to police.

Thanks for this forum guys....  I got the call from the same number today and I gave all the details about me.  He gave me a case ID and told me to pay a penalty of £500 through Western Union in the name of UK High commission India New Delhi immediately or I will be deported.  

I felt very strange as the caller told me to pay the money in the name of UK High commission India New Delhi and was above to believe the fake call.

The caller gave his name as Eric Wilson and gave his number 02032398294 and EXTN 8866 to call him back as soon as I reach the WU.  But fortunately as soon as he hung up the call I google the phone number and reached this forum. Once again thanks guys.

I got call from this number and the man calling asked for £ 150 to get CIS number... when i hang up he tried me calling almost 5 times.... god i am scared now.

I had a call from this number asking me my pasport details, which I refused to give said they were calling from the UKBA and said I was on a fake visa, which I am not,and upon speaking to a friend found out that she had the same call and gave out all details to find out that she was short of £600 pounds from her account.

Call Action fraud and log your complain, this could help in the event they accuse you to be illegally staying in the country. They could use your details and get someone else in the country or make someone legal in the country with your name and passport details.

..Well it was London calling..!! but doubt it was The Clash..!!, all anything to do with 'em but I was out and they never bothered to leave a message,so clearly not the slightest importance in their phone call then ...!

I also got a call today from 01614081201 and mentioning the same story... Luckily I did not pay any money although I did divulge several of my personal details... Only after going through this forum was I relieved...
