- Frank HawkinsThis number rang. Picked up phone. Foreign genteman spoke to me after about 10 second delay. I asked who he wanted. It sounded like a Mr Hokin about a PPI. Said I would get him. Then just left him hanging on as it did not sound like a genuine caller. He hung up after about 2 minutes.

- craigyarblesGot two calls today to try to arrange an appointment for a PPI 'expert' to 'help me' get access to millions in unwanted money the banks are throwing away. I strung her along for a while to see what the scam was but she got a bit tedious after a while so I told her to f*** off , I imagine she will call again tomorrow and all my rudeness will be forgiven

- South Cambs chap| 1 replyJust had the first call, to our landline, from these people about PPI claims - but the CLI message could not identify any number. I asked the (South African sounding) caller to tell me more about 'First Call' - 'we work with financial institutions' - OK do you have a website so I can look you up, 'yes - www.firstcallgroup.co.za' - OK thanks, I will make a complaint about this call to your company. Rang off. This web address is genuine and they have phone numbers and email - BUT I think that the First Call in the website is a genuine call centre company and the scammers just quote the web address.
Normal approach to such calls: 'We are registered with TPS so don't call me ever again'. If a number is identifiable, I do report them to TPS online.- Caller: 'First Call'
- Crafty1I just received a call from this number, asked him where he got my mobile number from he said it had been passed to him from financial institutions??? He said the same thing about not been a sales call etc etc then went on about missold PPI - told him I had no loans and he hung up - reported to the tps.
- PatPlease be careful with this number. Do not get sucked in - they're looking for you to pay money.
Basically they claim they got my number from the consumer direct website and call me by my husband's name. Now, although i am married and that's his name, i am Italian and I never changed my name when I got married so this could not possibly be the case. Further, they call my office number and i work for a major bank. When they explained they were calling about PPI (and they call from India every time) I state that consumers don't need to use their services and I keep asking them how they got my number they then put the phone down. I did some research and i've read online that this is a scam, that these people ask for money and then you never hear from them again. I know that however they got my number it is an illegal method. They also called a few weeks back stating I have had a car accident when I didn't!!! These people are a nuisance and they've breached data protection and lied, but all they're after is £99 from what I can gather, and then you'll never hear from them again. If you've been missold PPI the banks will pay you, you don't need to use these companies.
Here's the research, people: abuse as much as you want!!!

- RasaqT-Mobile claimed that I called this number 2 times on the 16th of Sept 2011.
First call was 16:36 last for about 2hrs.
Second Call 18:39 last for about 2hrs

- cariothey called yesterday and today - my 9 year old son answered both times and they hung up immediately.
- JoolsI have received a number of calls throughout the day and even in the evening which I have not answered and funnily enough they don't want to speak to my answering machine. I phoned BT and they have suggested that I log a complaint on the following website... TPSonline.org.uk under the complaints section. I've also signed an email gov petition ...... http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/11989
Finally my phone has a facility to block numbers....best thing since sliced bread so this number is now on my blocked list.
Hopefully if we complain enough to TPS something will eventually be done to stop any UK scam calls and possibly slap on a huge fine or better still a jail sentence!- Caller: LL
