In relation to the message I wrote in which I provided all the details of this company, I have since spoken to the Claims Regulation people (https://www.claimsregulation.gov.uk/search.aspx)
and they have requested that complaints are reported to ACTION FRAUD on 0300 123 2040.

The details I found so far are as follows:
Their name is First Call Connect, their actual number is 08712 883679 they claim their office is in Cardiff and their email is customer.services@1stcallconnect.co.uk

I haven't verified the details but the website is not genuine, neither is the reg number they've printed.

Doesn't anyone know someone who can send these people a virus???!!!

Yes, another stupid scamming moronic organisation. I asked them for their company registration number so that I could report them for breaking the law by ignoring the Telephone Preference Service. Wow, I've never had someone hang up so quickly!!! :-)

Was at home last night dreading a phone call about an elderly relative  when at 7pm these people rang. My heart leapt to my throat. I didn't answer because I didn't recognise the number, but the damage was done. I couldn't stop shaking all night and still feel dreadful today.  As everyone agrees, these calls are a nuisance but sometimes, and it must happen to others also, these calls cause untold anxiety. Could I have claimed compensation if they'd triggered a heart attack? Somehow I doubt it. These callers don't give a damn about your circumstances when they call. PLEASE can someone who knows how, STOP this invasion.

Don't answer it or be rude if you do. Totally wasting your time if you do answer.

Argh I hate hate hate these calls, got one today, he asked for myself, I asked who was calling , he then demands to talk to myself and when I said it better be good info and not a sales call he hung up.. Same story when I called back..

Some Indian woman talking about missold PPI and how I could be entitled to a refund. I told her that this was a non-issue as I already know I haven't been sold PPI. She asked me if I was sure, I repeated to her that this was a non-issue, she apologised and I hung up.

Unfortunately, for the TPS to have any effect, the company has to be based in the UK - otherwise, it's outside of their jurisdiction. Both my mobile and land line are registered with TPS and I get calls every day. Sick and tired of having a phone TBH and think that if everyone was to complain to the phone providers about this problem and threaten to cancel contracts etc. then they would be likely to do something about it. Otherwise, why do they care - they're getting paid and not having to fix problems!!!

Legally, does anyone know if you can be charged by your provider for answering an international call - when the number itself comes up as a London 020 number?

Keep getting calls from this number, my answerphone picks it up but a message is never left.  I recognise the number now when it comes up on my phone screen so I ignore it.  Don't know who they are or what they want - but I know I don't want to talk with them. I never answer calls unless I recognise the number - my answerphone is on if it should be a genuine call.

Just had a call from them, Kept them on the line on hold and they called another number while on the phone to me. So I came back on the line, and told the other person who was being cold called to hang up. They were not happy.

They are claiming to get back money paid by PPI insurance. I have NEVER had a loan in my life.

I answrered back to a call from this number and got a southern hemisphere accent telling me was Binca and she was from First Call.  The usual waste of space I imagine as I did not continue.

Could not understand the lady anyway!!  How do I complain about them, my mother is an invalid and we do not need this type of call at 8.00 p.m.!!!!!!!

Been getting loads of calls from these people when I am teaching.... finally managed to take the call today and got a surprised 'hello' from a female voice, followed by lots of laughing and then they hung up!! Charming!!!

I had a call this afternoon from this number. It was an asian gentleman who told me he was from a company I could not decipher and he went on to say I was due a refund from my bank. I just laughed and said goodbye. I assumed the next step was to ask for my bank details so he could refund the money.

Had a call from this number today asking about ppi insurance in the last 10 years it was very noisy in my house they said they would get a manager to phone back tomorrow  i won't be answering.

Called today asking to speak to my mother who is dead, I hung up on them.

I am fed up with people assuming they know my business, I want it to stop
