This number had been coming up on our phone several times within the week, in the end I answered it and the foreign lady said she was from First Call.  I asked for her number and she said why would I want it.  Told her I was with TPS and that I was going to report their number to them.  I did not tell her that her number was displayed on our phone.  SHE HUNG UP.

First Call Center Solutions called today trying to be able to recover Payment Protection Insurance wrongly sold by banks and insurance companies.I told him to stop his randomn calling and get a proper job. He was not impressed...

Another one to add to the spam list - silent caller, first one from 0207 though, they're getting smarter the tossers :(

just received a call from yhis number,, First call regarding PPC, Said i was not needing their services. If they call again will put them on my barred list

Phone call answered at 1730 on 30 January 2012.  Female caller asked for me by name, blirting out a company name that I couldn't hear properly.  As soon as I tried to ask her to repeat her company name, the call terminated.  No attempt was made to phone again.

Had several calls from 02070603887 which I didnt answer, knowing it was this "First Call"

This morning I get a call from "EXTERNAL NUMBER" so I picked up.

Person "Hello can I speak to Mr Markson"
Me "Sorry no, this is not Mr Markson"
Person "Ok then can I speak to Mr Markson"
Me "Who is this?"
Person "Its Kim"
Me "Kim Who"
Person (getting agitated) "Does Mr Markson live there and can I speak to him"
Me "Sorry who is this?"
Person (agitated tone) "Kim"
Me "Kim Who?"
Person "Kim Smith. Now can I speak to Mr Markson"
Me (me getting v agitated) "Kim Smith FROM WHERE?!!"
Person "Im calling from Firstcall"
Me "Thank you" and I hung up.

Had this number call me this morning.  Caller ID display came up so I answered it.  Foreign sounding woman who said she was calling from somewhere like DPI and that I had used this service over the past few months and that on checking their records they found I was entitled to a refund.  She asked me to confirm my name and address - she gave it me, not me her - then started to ask other questions.  I told her that she must think I was b.....y stupid if she thought I would give out bank details or anything else and that she had my name and address and if she was genuine to put the cheque in the post.  She said she would not do that without me answering more questions.  I told her she had all the info. she was going to get and hung up whilslt she was still ranting.  I then promptly rang BT's nuisance call bureau.  This is an O2 global number and BT cannot do anything about it.  Message to 02 - be careful who you give your numbers to.  You are going to make yourself very unpopular issuing numbers to scam callers!

Got a call and when I said I was registered on the call preferance scheme 'David' informed me he was not trying to sell me anything but this was a market research call.
I pointed out that what he was trying to do was to claim money for mis-sold PPI and I was going to report him for ignoring the guidelines...guess what?? he started talking over me and shouting and then said.....I will get your refund and give it to the cigarette factories so they can keep cancer going!! then maturely hung up??

I know some people have to make a living but....

This lot have called twice in the last two weeks. The last call was just office noises. Obviously automated junk calls.

My neighbour h=was been called this afternoon by someone asking for a previous tenant (with the name of someone who never lived here).  When she said that, the caller hung up without further conversation.

10 mins later I was called by the same number but the phone went dead as soon as I answered!

I received a call from this number this afternoon - asked them where they got the number from as registered with TPS - was promptly told this was not a cold call as they got my number from the database!! and then continued to try and explain that I could claim to recover costs for PPI - I said I didn't have anything to claim against.  He then started to get quite irate and said I wasn't listening to him - asked him not to be rude and not to raise his voice to me.  He then asked if I knew what a PPI was and I said yes thank you but I don't have any and he then said I obviously don't know what it is and your not listening to me and then hung up!!!  

Think his telephone manner needs brushing up on!

Received a call from an Oriental-sounding woman from this number asking to speak to a garbled version of my name. When I said "no-one of that name lives here" she just hung up. Thank you for identifying the culprit as First Call, as, without a name for the unauthorised caller, Telephone Preference can do nothing.

"First Call" is on a pre-selected drop-down box at TPS - they are known to them! Everyone on here must complain to TPS if they are registered (and why not register?) http://complaints.tpsonline.org.uk/Consumer/

Got a foreign sounding woman said she was from First Call and wanted to do an "echo test" regarding my credit card.  She got an echo I told her to get stuffed - twice.  Scammers.

Had this number ring at least 8 times in one day , so the next day i picked up and in my worst Chinese accent shouted that we don't take your orders before 7:30.
Its has done the trick but i hope at christmas they don't try to book an office party . HA!!

Getting sick of all these calls from abroad about time they did something about it. Am on caller preference and still they come through.   Latest one trying to get me to claim PPI back from Banks.  02070603887

this number called me today & when I politely said I didnt  want to listen to them, their operative called back & was most abusive.

I got a call today from some slag, asking to speak to Philip Smith, my former partner who died on 11th September 2008. Yes that is right 2008! Apart from the nuisance of the call, there is the obvious distress  too. I told the dirty tart on the other end of the phone that she ought to check the records first and then I told her to [***].

Got a silent call from these [***] today. I lifted the phone and didn't say anything so they just hung up. I suggest that all the people who were pestered by them should join together and go to this sick call centre in South Africa and beat the [***] up. It is called "First Call Centre Solutions" according to a report by a previous complainer. These people are mentally ill. Report them to the South African Embassy in London and demand an investigation.
