Many thanks for this link, patpending, and I have just completed the TPS's very simple complaint form.  Like you mention, everyone should do this and I hope that, in time, they can be closed down.  When I challenged their agent how they had obtained my number, he - Jason Wright - was evasive and tried to go thru' his screen prompts but when I pointed out that he/they were in breach of the Telecommunications Act, we appeared to be cut off.  Let's hope they get the message, LOUD & CLEAR!

Excuse my language, but report the [***] to the South African Embassy in London and demand action against them. They are fraudsters and pests.

A very English sounding young bloke asked to speak to my mother (by name).  I said he couldn't because she died 3 years ago.  He hung up immediately.  When I checked the number by ringing it back there was just a message saying that no calls were being taken by that number at present and to call back later.  I didn't.

Bloke with an Indian accent calling himself Brian Adams rang saying that I could be due some compensation for some payment protection I had bought.  When I said that I have never bought any payment protection, he said "just shut your mouth and listen" at which point I put the phone down.  Tried to call them back to report it but the cowardy custards don't take incoming calls!

got a call from this number this evening wanted to speak to my partner i wouldnt let them speak to him until he told me what comapny he was calling from. He didn't tell me so i kept asking then he shouted racist abuse then hung up. How rude!!! tried calling back but wouldn't connect

I have theses calls all the time. I've taken to singing " always look on the bright side of life" to them. Amazingly they still call, even with my singing voice!!!!

I just had a call from this number. When she asked for me I said "Who are you?" and the line went dead.

No coincidence that at first glance it looks like a London number, i.e. 0207. But there's one digit too many.
Anyone know why they allow their number to be seen instead of showing "withheld"? Do they want us to phone back, thinking it's a London number, costing us lots of money.

They called today showing the number 02070603887 on the caller display after I had ignored a number of "International" calls. Clearly knew my name and address and very limited bank details. Became suspicious of questions being asked and pressed for "who" was calling and "why". Basically answer was "First Call" and "PPI Refunds". Eventually they terminated the call as I kept on insisting that I did not have any PPI products and could not get a satisfactory answer as to the purpose of the phone call.
I subscribe to telephone preference scheme and am ex directory but they still get through. I also subscribe to call barring with BT so will enter their number and hope that stops them getting through again.

First call. Hung up swiftly as clearly didn't have a valid reason for calling

When I answered phone a very bad line, sounded like lots of machines in background, Is that 'my full name ' I said yes, I 'mtrudy form a 1st call,  I asked "what is 1st Call " she gave a very loud tut and hung up.

Received a cold-call phonecall from 02070603887 on 17 February 2012. Caller stated they were calling from "First Call" about PPI reclaims. Phonecall had a slight delay and a fuzz about the line as if calling from overseas. Caller had an Indian accent.  I told the caller in no uncertain terms that I wasn't interested and told him to p*** off. I then hung up. I dialled 1471 to obtain the number (02070603887). Tried to call it back several times to see if I could get more details about them, but an automated message just stated that the number was not accepting calls at present.

Said he got my details from the "National Consumer Database" and started talking about missold payment protection.

I don't have any PPI, I'm listed on Telephone Preference Service and I NEVER EVER agree tacitly or otherwise to any kind of general follow up calls.

Asked him on which account I was paying PPI. He said he did not know but that many people had been mis-sold such insurance and that....

I cut him short with an irate, "Why are you cold-calling me?!" - he hung up.

I will report the number to TPS tonight.

Got a call from this number saying it was someone from First Call and that this was not a sales call.  Then he started talking about PPI so I challenged and asked how they had got my information etc and the line went dead!

i havent a clue who this is but everytime they call they hang up whats the point in calling in the 1st place.
