Had two calls from this number - first time when I was out and no message left, second time - on Sunday afternoon of all times, company name sounded like Internet 24 and it was one of the calls about my PC is going slow cos it has a virus. My reply was if I have problems with my computer, I take it to the computer guys I've been going to for years, I certainly don't deal with a company over the phone who are probably a scam

Nuisances prize nuisances. Why can't they leave people alone. I'VE HAD IT TO THE EYE TEETH.

Spoke broken English asked if I was...................from England. I just put the phone down, another scam no doubt, they should be stopped. This is not the first time!

Had a call from this number today. Said he was from First Direct and I was due a refund. First I had to give some details over the phone. Naturally I hung up. It was so obviously a scam. I hope these people are closed down soon.

they called today telling me that i had been given a refund and that they wanted my credit card number in order to give me back the money. when i told them i dont own one, they are for a store card again i told them i didnt have one. they then hung up. when i did 1471 for this number and then called it i was then referred to 08704460870. this is a scam

Got a call from this number at 17.01 today. They claimed they had a refund on mis-sold PPI. I asked them to verifiy the lending institution and what product they had the refund for and the hung up.

Guess they don't like being asked the questions!

I got a call from 02070603887 asking about PPI claim. I asked where they got my tel number from, he said a local database! LIAR..I'm ex dir.

This is the 3rd time they have rung me. Ran some tel software came up with ther call centre in South Africa.!

got a call from 02070603887 and let is go to the answer machine. we heard a load of squeeling which was totally inaudable. this is the second time in four days this has happened

Am getting repeated calls from 02070603887, silent calls also number left for recall, I shall never do that. This problem has made it nessessary for me to never pick up the receiver. Why should I have to live with this torture. I am 82.

Unfortunately joining the TPS doesn't make any difference - I registered at least 10 years ago and still current but I still receive calls from these companies. The ICO and TPS sholuld clamp down firmly on these companies - they have no respect for the law.

5 calls so far this evening from them one was really rude... why are these people not stopped?

I just changed my number on Friday with Virgin Media to avoid unwanted sales calls and lo and behold here I am 3 days later getting calls from this number, which is strange as I hadn't actually gave out my number to ANYONE yet. In fact the only thing I used it for was an outgoing call to a taxi firm, which makes me wonder if they under the guise of their automated service are collecting phone numbers and passing them onto sales companies.
Unless it is this I'm going to be having strong words with Virgin Media. I'm about to leave my job, through no fault of my own, and I would like to be able to rech for my phone thinking it's a prospective employer and not more sales calls!

I have missed calls on my answerphone from this number. My strategy for dealing with cold callers is (a) registering with TPS - waste of time as TPS is a toothless quango unable to protect the general public from nuisance calls but by registering at least I have done what I am supposed to do (b) I report the callers to TPS and the Information Commissioner and hope that something is done to slap them back but I have no confidence that anything will happen (c) find out the number calling me, find out the company calling me, visit company house, and get all their contact details then I trawl around the internet (if I have nothing else to do e.g. during an evening when the telly is dull and I am feeling evil) and I register these details with every online spammer I can find e.g. yes, rush me details of your day-glo mustard-flavoured sex toys etc and dearly hope that call centre staff will spend many hours every day taking calls from other call centres trying to force their products on them (d) the shorter version of my cunning revenge strategy is to take the call and then pretend to be working in a call centre too and begin to mess with their minds: Cold Caller: Hello I am from blah-blah Me: No, I am from Blah-Blah! Them: Ehhhh... Me: Do you have credit card debts? Have you ever considered life insurance for your house plants? Let me make your day! I have this great idea how you can become a millionaire overnight etc. When they ask for details, turn the conversation around and demand their details because you are doing them a favour. It's like Jehovah Witnesses or Mormons (they don't call much these days but when they did I used to invite them in and then tell them all about my religious beliefs involving pyramids, aliens, polar bears, horse radishes etc They used to fight to get out and I never had return calls from them. Fight fire with fire, I say and give yourself a laugh at their expense. Of course that is fine only if I have nothing else to do but when these scum call me in the middle of the night or call me on days I am waiting for important telephone calls I could wish them in Hell. And no doubt there is a special place in Hell for such people although not as deep as the people who murder children so let's keep this in perspective.

Had a call last night missed so rang the number and a recorded message said this number is unused and is for sale. I hung up. With the advances today WHY? is it not possible to stop these turds getting
through to private phones ,mine is ex-directory too.

Just had a call from this number offering a PPI refund. I am ex-directory and registered with TPS.

My mum had a call from them today - as she said refund (without the PPI bit) mum shouted "con" down the phone and slammed it down. What with this & the computer bug calls my 79 year old mother is very popular. Luckily she finds it very funny & tries to mess with their minds lol.

my home number is only available to 5 people and they keep ringing me asking for some bloke i've never heard of. funny i keep ringing them back randomly now and not saying anything, think i've had about 7 different people answer the phone so far - i will continue to pi$$ them off as they do me!
