Report a phone call from 02070606042 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- A GuilfoyleJust had a call from this number, which didn't connect very quickly and I was saying 'Hello, hello' and a female voice said 'will you just give me a chance to speak?'. How dare they? She was told 'no, not if you are going to be rude to me' and I hung up. I'm registered with TPS and this is a UK number so how can I stop them ringing? This isn't the first time.
- Caller: not known
- Angeline GarnettMy place of work keep receiving calls for an Andrew Garnett no matter how many times we tell them he doesnt work here has never worked here they still keep calling. We have asked on a number of occasion to have his name taken off the list as this is a hospital not a residence. But they still keep calling and now my Manager has pulled me up for it as my husbands name is andrew. This is driving me mad. They do not tell us who they are and if we try to call back the line is dead
- su1c1dal3 calls in 30mins tonight from these a'holes. they don't listen as spoke to them weeks ago and told them to do one and never call again..............

This worked for me, I have seen a significant reduction in calls to my mobile phone.
First, you have to register with TPS (Telephone Preference Service). You can do it here:
http://www.mpsonline.org.uk
It only takes a few minutes and is worth doing for later steps.
If the calls are coming to a mobile, and you have a 'reject with message' feature, set it up
saying 'This number is registered with TPS and by calling it you are breaking the law. Your
number will be reported to the ICO'.
Next, find out who the company calling you is. Do not ring the number they used to ring you
though. Use the internet and find either a non premimum line number, or an email address.
Email is better as you then have a record of your communication.
You then contact the company intructing them to remove your number from their database and to
cease calling you. Inform them you are registered with the TPS and that you will be reporting
them to the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office), include the link to bolster your statement:
http://www.ico.gov.uk/
If you can find out who sold them the list with your number is on, contact that company too with
the same request of removal and again mention TPS and ICO.
There is a 28 days cycle for checking / updating records, so there may be a slight in effect.
However, report any further calls to ICO.
Neither the TPS or ICO can have much effect on companies outside of the EU.
This may seem long winded, but it has worked for me so I consider it worthwhile. - Tired-of-These-Calls| 1 replyI obviously had a bit too much time on my hands this morning having managed to keep these people on the phone for 15 minutes before I had to explain I was now bored & had bettter things to do before hanging up.
After going through the indian call centre, I ended up speaking to some chap called Richard Armstrong of LFS Claims who are obviously the company hiding behind these people. I'm sure he'd love to get some more enquiries about how to claim back PPI which could fill his time appropriately

- maz 03Paid more than £40 to a company who say they can stop nuisance calls. Well so far I've wasted my money as I'm still getting calls about my computer, my sky apparatus and these PPI chasers.
Absolutely sick to death of it. We are ex-directory so where the hell do they get my number from?- Caller: 02070606042

- Caroline carterI have registered to have unsolicited calls blocked but companies like this still keep contacting me
Do I have any recourse to stop them from pestering me sometimes 3 or 4 times a day - DaisyI received a call from a lady (foreign again) but nothing to do with PPI, although the conversation did not last long.
I was offered a free test drive for a new model of a car! I said I wasn't interested and she said that they would be happy to come to my address to collect me, and return after my test drive. I again said "I'm not interested" and she said sorry to have troubled me.
There was a lot of noise in the background, almost sounded like a typists' pool.- Call type: Telemarketer
- inkoespadaanswered the call & no one there. another nuisance call from telemarketing.

- WelshZapped number with my TrueCall Call Blocker. www.truecall.co.uk It's the next best thing after the Sky+ !
- Truecall scam ? replies to NigelTryed the TrueCall scam call-blocker? Truecall Ltd are trading at a loss. Google Truecall Ltd. Who makes it? What do they do with the uploaded data including your phone-number?
- Well Spotted Scam replies to Tired-of-These-CallsOld scam - after your data to sell onto other criminals who disregard the law. Just hang up. Good reporting them to the ICO. You don't even need to know their name, just their number. The criminal fraudsters like Anthony Simister who run scams like TAPA like to plant stooges on these forums to discourage honest folk from contacting the ICO or Ofcom. Ignore them. Data criminals don't want the hassle, bad publicity or fines, and have big payoffs to make to stay in business. Pay them back with hassle. I've bookmarked the ICO complaint form and report each and every call now via the form on www.ico.gov.uk :

Here's the latest fine for a dodgy company caught with its trousers down and breaking the law:
http://www.ico.gov.uk/news/latest_news/2013.aspx
News release: 20 March 2013
The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) has served a monetary penalty of £90,000 to a company that has blighted the public with thousands of unwanted marketing calls.
DM Design, based in Glasgow, has been the subject of nearly 2,000 complaints to the ICO and the Telephone Preference Service (TPS). The company consistently failed to check whether individuals had opted out of receiving marketing calls – in clear breach of the law - and responded to just a handful of the complaints received.
In one instance an employee refused to remove a complainant’s details from the company’s system and instead threatened to “continue to call at more inconvenient times like Sunday lunchtime”.
The monetary penalty is the first the ICO has issued for a serious breach of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) relating to live marketing calls. This latest penalty comes after the joint owners of a company, which was responsible for sending hundreds of thousands of spam texts, received penalties totalling £440,000 in November last year.
The ICO has informed two more companies that it is intending to impose significant penalties over breaches of the law, with a final decision likely in the coming weeks. A further ten companies are subject to ongoing investigation for cold-calling and sending spam text messages.
Information Commissioner, Christopher Graham, said:
“Today’s action sends out a clear message to the marketing industry that this menace will not be tolerated. This company showed a clear disregard for the law and a lamentable attitude toward the people whose day they were disturbing. This is not good enough.
“This fine will not be an isolated penalty. We know other companies are showing a similar disregard for the law and we’ve every intention of taking further enforcement action against companies that continue to bombard people with unlawful marketing texts and calls.
“All of this work has been made possible thanks to the information we are receiving from the public, which has assisted our investigation team in identifying the companies making these calls.”

The ICO and OFCOM, who are responsible for regulating silent calls, work closely together and will be publishing an open letter to the marketing industry reminding companies that they must comply with the legal and regulatory measures in place. Failure to do so will lead to enforcement action, with the ICO able to issue penalties of up to £500,000 for serious breaches of the PECR, and OFCOM having the power to issue penalties of up to £2,000,000 over breaches of rules linked to abandoned and silent calls.
The ICO has setup a online reporting tool which people can use to send us the details of any unwanted marketing texts and calls. View the reporting tool, which has already received nearly 140,000 responses since it was setup in March last year.

Will get the local dealer to call to confirm details. When they phone to confirm I shall let them know exactly what I think of their marketing strategy.

- MikeSilent call which then hung up - checked on the internet and discovered that it was a PPI company!
- TonyPicked call up but it took an age to connect, and then another long pause before someone bothered to speak - hung up on them as they said something.
- KimCall from "Shaun Roberts" who wanted to know how I was and whether I would take part in a survey. He sounded quite pleasant and polite until I said no and asked what gave him the right to interrupt my day, as I work from home and am heartily sick of people like him ringing up with rubbish like this - and then he went completely mental, shouting and gabbling so fast, with such a strong accent, I was unable to work out exactly what he was saying, but it sounded remarkably like abuse directed at me. The cheek of it! I'm ex-directory and TPS registered, yet still they do it...

- Paul Rushton| 1 replyWe are registered with tps and should not be getting these calls.
- mirmy replies to Paul RushtonYet another annoying call (2nd today) disturbing our meal. How can we stop them as we have already registered with tps to opt out of these calls.
- BrianI use a TruCall Call Blocker which is just amazing - no more nuisance calls at all WONDERFUL !!
So how do I know I had a call from this number - easy.....
My TrueCall blocker told me when I went on line to see who had been attempting to call me.
There was this number and the system had blocked it dead so they can not call again.
I read the complaints on here and can not help but think why we do it as all people seems to do is to say they had a call from this number. This is of little value to anybody.
If you want to stop theses unwanted calls I fully recommend you look at the TruCall system and react in a positive manner as just posting on here will do nothing at all to stop the calls.
There are a number of call blocker systems around but you get what you pay for,
TruCall will cost around £100 but you get so much for you money it is just amazing.
There is another system costing about £38 which I was using for over a year but it does have limitation and will only block the numbers you put in. As I said, you get what you pay for !!
For those who really do want to stop unwanted calls check this out.
https://www.truecall.co.uk/home.aspx
I no longer get bothered with them but thought if I post my experience on here it may help others- good luck !
